The West Country region

The Padstow / Trevone Area

The area has something for everyone. Padstow is only two miles away, famous for quayside and many wonderful restaurants including those of Rick Stein. It also makes for a relaxing afternoon wander around the gift shops and galleries with a cream tea followed by a game of crazy golf. Alternatively go on a boat ride or start here for a bike ride along the Camel Trail to Wadebridge.

If you can pull yourself away from Trevone Beach, the area has many other wonderful beaches, many suitable for surfing or body boarding with life guards present and surfing lessons available.

If you fancy a game of golf there are several fabulous courses nearby with Trevose Golf and Country Club only 2 miles away and St Enodoc a little further.

This area has so much variety to offer from Creally Adventure Park only a 15 minute drive away to the show gardens at Bedruthan, Trebah and St Mawgan Japanese garden.

Although there is much to explore in the surrounding area, many of our guests hardly leave Trevone during their stay. Two minutes' walk from the house you will find the well-stocked surf shop and café which serves excellent breakfasts, lunches and ice creams. You will see the first of Trevone's two 'beaches', with its beautiful sand, making it perfect for sandcastle builders and body boarders. It has lifeguard cover from May-September and benefits from dogs not being allowed from Easter Day to the end of September.

If you walk left along the coastal path you will find 'Rocky Beach', enjoyed by many for rock pooling. Further along there is a natural 'swimming pool' for fun when the tide is low.

Trevone also has a pub and farm shop which now delivers straight to your door. (also Tesco 1.5miles away).

Trevone is in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. One way long the coastal path will take you into Padstow (perhaps with a taxi back) past the 'round hole', a natural blow hole on the cliff top. Or walk the other way to Harlyn Bay with lots of benches en route for a sit down to enjoy the views.
