Detached, three-bedroom (1 double and 2 twin) lodge, with pine interiors and fully fitted kitchen, with own verandah. Set in 35 beautiful acres of landscaped gardens, parks, mature woodland and still-water lakes. Located within easy reach of the pretty fishing village of Port Isaac and Padstow, across the estuary from Rock with extensive beaches.

First class 'Alpine' style lodge in attractive grounds, well equiped, comfy beds & immaculate bedding. Plenty to do on site - free pool & small gym. Restaurant, bar & small shop. Evening activities such as disco if you choose (but no noise from this at the chalet) .Extra activities at £10 - £15 for 90 minutes - we did fencing which was really good. Archery, cross bow, coarse fishing, snorkelling also available. Plenty to do nearby - we went horseriding in the next village & trout fishing nearby (Temple fishery). Also excellent beaches - recommend Harlyn Bay (surfing lessons available but pricey). Cycle path is excellent (Padstow / Wadebridge have hire centres - we found Padstow best). Padstow, Truro (good museum with excellent cafe, cathedral, shopping) & Port Isaac (Doc Martin filmed here) all worth a visit. Went go karting at Holywell Bay near Newquay - very good. Brochures for local activities available from reception. So even though the weather was overcast there was plenty for the whole family to enjoy. Thanks very much for the hire of the chalet ! |
