The West Country / Cornwall region
This south-western county enjoys a milder climate than much of England, and consequently Cornwall has long been a popular summer getaway. The area provides the best surfing in England, with towns like Newquay, Bude and Croyde filling with enthusiasts every year. There is excellent walking on Bodmin Moor, domain of the legendary beast, and the coastline is wild and beautiful.
The Eden Project is only 25 minutes away.
Padstow has many activities and is a wonderful traditional fishing village with various festivals throughout the year and delicous seafood restaurants to sample during your stay here.
Padstow / St Merryn area
St Merryn is situated within two miles of some of the most beautiful swimming and surfing beaches in Cornwall, being an ideal centre for touring or a quiet restful holiday. Amenities in the area include Trevose Golf course, horse riding, fishing trips can be organised from Padstow. Sailing, surfing and wind-surfing tution available in the nearby Camel Estuary. Rick Steins restaurant is on the door step only a few miles away in Padstow.
How to get there
Coming from Padstow, drive straight through the village of St Merryn, turn left at the croosroads with the Petrol Station on your left. Drive out of the village and after approx. 2km you will see a sign on your left for St. Merryn Holiday Village. Go through the main gates and take the 3rd turning on the left into Jasmine Drive, follow the road round bearing to the left and you will arrive at Primrose Drive no 4.
