A perfect VisitBritain 4Star Gold Award holiday cottage. This cosy three-bedroomed cottage is entered from the courtyard through a porch and then the hall to an impressive sitting room, which has a comfortable suite. An archway leads into the pretty fully fitted pine kitchen, equipped with an electric fan oven/ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. French doors lead to a spacious Victorian style conservatory/dining room with further doors opening out to the enclosed private garden with terrace, lawn and shrubs.
On the ground floor off the hall there is a cloakroom/W.C. with a shaver point as well as a lovely bedroom with a double bed, pine wardrobe, bedside lighting and an en suite shower room.
Upstairs are two further bedrooms with distant views to Trevose Head, each attractively furnished with twin beds, bedside lighting and a fitted pine wardrobe. All beds are of good quality and have feather pillows, mattress and pillow protectors, duvets and spare blankets. Bed linen is included in the rental and beds will be made up in readiness for your arrival.
The family bathroom has an airing cupboard, an instantaneous electric shower over the bath, shaver point and heated towel rail.

Our position is convenient for road access to all parts of Cornwall to visit the many places steeped in history/heritage and monuments together with a magnificent coastline to the Atlantic, providing sandy beaches and coves, many of which are famous for surfing. Cornwall has theme parks and attractions, golf courses, fishing villages and harbours, museums and galleries and, of course, the much acclaimed Eden Project near St Austell.
Our cottages are situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty in Cornwall and provides cosy, quality, well-equipped accommodation and a perfect retreat at any time of the year in the glorious North Cornwall countryside. The cottages are set in a courtyard in a quiet country lane and surrounded by
farmland. They are within easy reach of many beautiful sandy beaches and coves and magnificent coastal walks, where you can enjoy spectacular views of the cliffs and seabird activity from the coastal paths.
The nearby Camel Estuary offers sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, canoeing and rowing. A disused railway line has been transformed into an extremely pleasing route along the Estuary from Padstow to Wadebridge and onward to Bodmin for walking and cycling. A visit to ‘The Camel Trail’ is a must! Leat Cottage is just three miles from the friendly town of Wadebridge, which offers all the amenities of banks, bakers, butchers, greengrocers, post office and many interesting independent shops, together with supermarkets and the John Betjeman Centre. Everyone likes to visit the ancient fishing port of Padstow with its fascinating harbour, shops and renowned seafood, which is five miles away. There are stately homes and gardens such as Pencarrow, Lanhydrock, and Trerice within easy reach and the moors of Bodmin and woods at Cardinham provide further interest. There is a wide choice of restaurants to suit all tastes in the immediate vicinity.

"Quite, clean, convenient with amazing views."
We found this cottage to be spacious, quiet, clean in a beautiful setting. The owners Richard & Jane were very helpful, extremely friendly but not at all intrusive. The property was within driving distance to all areas of Cornwall that had major attractions. The journeys ranged from 15mins to 1 hour depending on where you want to go. A large Tesco is a 5 minute drive away so it was easy to stock up on groceries that we needed for our stay. We would definately go there again as a couple or with our family.
The only thing we would recommend is, more cupboard space in the kitchen for a family if you are staying for longer than 1 week.
Very kind of our guests to help us review storage facilities within our kitchens. The kitchen design provides ample storage for a week, as implied by this guest and, with a supermarket so close, we would suggest guests re-stock at the end of a week.

"One of the best locations in Cornwall"
We booked all the cottages as three families with young children and were amazed at how perfect they were. They are located just outside Wadebridge so are spot on for the Camel Trail and the seven beaches for seven days. They are set off the main road so the children were free to play on the lawn outside.
The properties are immaculate and furnished to a high standard - Leat Cottage in particular has a big LCD TV, perfect for the Champions League Final. One of our party is a wheelchair user and the cottages were accessible once inside (a small step has to be negotiated at each front door).
The owners Jane and Richard were also extremely helpful and welcoming, ready to help with any problems - Jane even took in our shopping delivery for us when we arrived late.
All in all, a perfect place to stay and enjoy this part of Cornwall. Can't wait to return...

"High standard accommodation"
The photographs we saw on the websites we booked this through definitely do not do this property justice. We were expecting something rather oldy worldy but in fact Leat Cottage is one of four lovely houses in beautiful surroundings. Bright, clean and comfortable enough for four adults and a baby (it actually sleeps 6) the location is excellent and the views from the house are stunning. You'll need a car but everything worth doing is nearby - Padstow, Rock, Newquay, Tintagel, Eden, any number of beaches. Tesco is a 5 minute drive and there are several farm shops around as well. It all adds up to an excellent package.
