Home description

This luxury detached chalet built in 2001 is situated on the popular and well managed Point Curlew holiday estate, within 3 km of village of St Merryn. The village is central to a number of sandy beaches - the logo is 7 bays for 7 days including Constantine Bay, Porthcothan, Treyarnon, Harlyn Bay and Mother Ivy's Bay.

There is a championship golf course at Trevose all within 4 km. Padstow is 3 miles drive away. An excellent location here for a family holiday, quiet and safe for children or an ideal retreat for couples. Beautiful coastal walks and scenery. Onsite entertainment in high season, clubhouse comprises reception, shop, restaurant, concert room bar, lounge bar, launderette and childres indoor and outdoor play areas.

The West Country / Cornwall region

Point Curlew Chalet Park is situated on the North Cornish coastline and set in 27 acres of peaceful grassy parkland for that 'get away from it all' kind of holiday all the year round. For walkers, Point Curlew is close to the breathtaking Cornish coastal path which stretches the length of the North Cornish coastline.
Tintagel is nearby, where the historic remains of King Arthur's castle can be found. The Eden Project, near St Austell an ideal attraction for the green fingered, is famous for its giant Biomes, the largest conservatories in the world.


Padstow / St Merryn area

Some 8km from Point Curlew Chalet Park is Padstow Fishing Village, famous for Rick Stein's Fish Restaurant, and the Camel Trail which is excellent for cycling to Wadebridge and onto Bodmin. Local farm offers horse riding trails. The chalet park's nearest village is St Merryn (3km away) offering a variety of amenities including a Garage, Post Office, Inns, Wine Bar, bistro, mini supermarkes (2). There is also a fish bar, Chinese take away, bakery, and newsagents.

Home to the beautiful sandy beaches of Harlyn Bay, Mother Ivy's Bay, Constantine, Porthcothan, Treyarnon and Harlyn. Excellent for rock pooling, surfing or body boarding.


How to get there

Take the M5 to Exeter and then turn onto the A30 through Cornwall towards Bodmin. Take the A395 to Wadebridge and Camelford and follow the by-pass to the roundabout with the A39. Continue along this road and take the Padstow turning on your right (A389). Drive through the villages of St. Issey and Little Petherick. At junction with B3274, turn left and continue for ½ mile then turn right at the next junction signposted St Merryn. Continue for 1 mile, continue straight on at junction and follow road round. Point Curlew Holiday Complex is located on your left.
