The West Country region

Atlantic Bays Holiday Park is situated on the North Cornish coastline and set in 27 acres of peaceful grassed parkland for that 'get away from it all' kind of holiday all the year round. For walkers, Point Curlew is close to the breathtaking Cornish coastal path which stretches the length of the North Cornish coastline.

Tintagel is nearby, where the historic remains of King Arthur's castle can be found. The Eden Project, near St Austell an ideal attraction for the green fingered, is famous for its giant Biomes, the largest conservatories in the world.

8km from Atlantic Bays Holiday Park is Padstow Fishing Village, famous for Rick Stein's Fish Restaurant, and the Camel Trail which is excellent for cycling to Wadebridge and onto Bodmin. Local farm offers horse riding trails. The chalet park's nearest village is St Merryn (3km away) offering a variety of amenities including a Garage, Post Office, Inns, Wine Bar, Vets. Home to the beautiful sandy beaches of Constantine, Porthcothan, Treyarnon and Harlyn. Excellent for rock pooling, surfing or body boarding.

"Not a holiday park, & not in Padstow!!!"

The chalet is clean and equipped with necessities but a lot smaller than appears in photos. There are not enough chairs or table space for a family to have a meal.
It's also in St Merryn and not Padstow, not ideal for walking (even) into to St Merryn as roads windy and dangerous!

The holiday park itself is terrible, facilities are limited to say the least. For example the shop sells out of date bread 'on offer' at 70p! Really... The clubhouse was closed except sat night so nothing for children, apart from a small uninviting park, no pool, mini golf etc.

However despite this, we used the chalet as a base and had a lovely holiday exploring the beautiful area.
