The Burgundy / Saone-et-Loire region

The Burgundy wine region is steeped in history with two great abbeys at Citeaux and Cluny, the regional Capital of Dijon and the wine making city of Beaune. The area is famous also for the Charolais beef cattle and French dishes such as boef bourguignon and coq au vin. Ozolles / Les Drouillards area

Les Drouillards is conveniently situated between La Clayette with its moated Chateau and famous Chocolatier and Charolles with its cobbled streets, waterways and bridges. Wineries, farm shops, country walks and horse riding are all nearby.

How to get there

Les Drouillards is located one and a half hours north of Lyon St Exupery Airport by road, on the D168, in the south of the Burgundy region. The nearest towns are Charolles (10km to the North) and La Clayette (15km to the South). If crossing the channel by ferry or Eurotunnel it would take under 7 hours to drive via the peage motorways. It is about 2hrs drive from Geneva across the Swiss border.
