Villa Olaoire is a modern 4 bedrom villa offering excellent accommodation which comfortably sleeps 8 guests. It is set in a peaceful location on the edge of a former olive grove just below the popular village of Ozankoy. It is close to the sea and has stunning mountain views.
The private 8 x 4 metre pool ensures that you can have a leisurely dip and a traditional brick built barbecue means you can eat “al fresco” at any time. Sun loungers and parasols make this villa the perfect place for you to get away from it all but still be within easy reach of the main town for those cosy nights by the harbour.
There are bars and restaurants within walking distance with the main picturesque harbour of Girne within a five minute drive. Buses pass along the main road which is a 2 minute walk and this will take you into Kyrenia and the harbour. There are several nice beaches nearby with the popular Diana beach just 1.3km away.

The Kyrenia District
The crusader port of Kyrenia (Girne) has a wonderful and enchanting harbour. By day you can hire boats to take you along the coast fishing or to swim on one of the many turtle beaches. In the evening, why not dine in one of the numerous restaurants on the water's edge and sample the local meze, and then maybe visit one of the casinos or small nightclubs in the town.
For culture and history lovers there's the amazing Kyrenia Castle (with the oldest shipwreck in the world), Bellapais Abbey, the Salamis ruins or St. Hilarion castle perched high on the Besparmak mountains. Northern Cyprus is blessed with the most pleasing climate in the whole of Europe. The winters are mild, and rarely extend beyond February, and with over 300 days of sunshine a year the temperature can reach into the 70s as early as March. In April and May Northern Cyprus is at its most beautiful with fields of wild flowers in full bloom and beautiful weather. June, July and August are the hottest months and ideal for sun-worshippers. Not surprisingly September and October are the most popular months when the weather is still wonderfully warm, rarely below 80° F.
Whether you are on one of the lovely sandy beaches, swimming in the safe warm Mediterranean, exploring the beautiful harbour or up in the Besparmak mountains climbing castles, you will sense the beauty of the place. The people are warm and friendly and the food and drink amazing.
Ozankoy area
Ozankoy is a tranquil village situated just 5km east of Kyrenia. You can spend time wandering around its narrow, ancient streets that are interwoven with olive, carob and lemon trees for which the area around Ozankoy is famous. There are a number of small café, and restaurants including Erol’s where you can feast on hot & cold meze.
The picturesque village of Bellapais is only a 5 minute drive from the villa. This has a fantastic Abbey and many delightful restaurants. A place not to miss on your visit to Northern Cyprus!
There are a number of lovely beaches on the east side of Kyrenia, with Diana Beach being the nearest to the villa at about 1.3km away. This beach has many facilities including café-bar, water sports, sun loungers, & toilettes.
Golfers can enjoy the fabulous new international golf course & country club called Korineum (www.korineumgolf.com), which is only a 15 minute drive east out the Esentepe road.
How to get there
3 airlines fly to Northern Cyprus (Ercan airport) from the UK. Turkish airlines fly all year round., daily from Heathrow and Manchester. Cyprus Turkish airlines (CTA) fly from Heathrow and Stansted all year and Manchester and Gatwick during the summer. Transworld International (Onur Air) operates from Heathrow, Stanstead and Manchester. Transfer time from Ercan Airport to the villa is approximately 30 minutes, and is free if car hire for at least one week is booked through our recommended operator.
More choice of flights is available to Larnaca in Southern Cyprus from additional UK airports. Transfers from Larnaca across the border are approx. 90 mins and can be arranged through our property manager.

Further details indoors: The ground floor consists of a large open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen. The lounge has two beautiful sofas, coffee table, satellite TV, DVD and stereo. Off the lounge is the dining room with dining table and chairs. This room has patio doors leading onto a lovely terrace overlooking the private pool. The well equipped kitchen includes oven/hob, washing machine, microwave and fridge/freezer.
There is air conditioning and Cyprus marble throughout the villa to ensure a pleasant stay.
There are bathrooms on the ground floor and first floor and an en-suite in the master bedroom. Upstairs the master bedroom is attractively furnished and has an en-suite shower, double bed, fitted wardrobes and air conditioning. There are double opening patio doors which lead out onto a fantastic roof terrace, this has been furnished with quality furniture and the uninterrupted views of the mountains and Bellapais Abbey are truly spectacular.
The other three bedrooms are luxuriously furnished with wrought iron furniture. One bedroom has a double bed and the others have twin beds. All bedrooms have wardrobes and air conditioning. The bedrooms have spectacular views of the Besparmak mountains.
