Owl Barn is situated on an old farm on the edge of the Cotswolds and is set in private grounds of 15 acres. With its classic Cotswold stone exterior, the barn has wonderful views, oodles of outside entertaining space including a terrace with built in barbecue, and it all overlooks a beautiful nature reserve. It is a magical place for a family get together, relax and re-charge the batteries or have a party or reunion with friends.

Nearby there is the famous Trout Pub at Tadpole Bridge which sits on the Thames Pathway - well worth a visit! Great walks and cycling are all around. Guests have exclusive discounted access to the Retreat Spa and golf course at Witney Lakes and local attractions include Blenheim Palace, Cotsolwd Wildlife Park and a great coffee shop at Aston Potteries just down the road!

Owl Barn has been lovingly restored with all its original features exposed. The magnificent fireplace, vaulted oak beams, stone floors and open-plan living area make it a wonderful choice for family gatherings, parties and corporate retreats. It can also be booked with another barn (Snipe Barn) to accommodate parties of up to 22!
Plasma TV with freeview plus wireless internet access are installed throughout. There are 5 luxurious bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, plus a sofa bed in the living area.

Chimney Meadows is the largest nature reserve of the BBOWT (Berks, Bucks and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust). The site totals 250 hectares of wildlife rich land along the banks of the River Thames. This vast and tranquil area of fields, pastures and nationally acclaimed wildflower meadows is a vital refuge for wading birds. The reserve is of national importance for its species-rich wetland meadows that support large numbers of now scarce ground-nesting birds, and provides a haven for curlew, snipe and reed bunting. Nearby is the famous Trout Pub at Tadpole Bridge which is approximately a mile walk and well worth the journey, it sits on the Thames.

“Beautiful, clean and spacious!” We had a fantastic stay at Owl Barn. It was much larger than the photos suggest, clean and very comfortable. There was plenty of room for our party of 11 and the kitchen was well equipped to cook and provide a buffet for a large party. We were sad to leave and I will be trying to come back as soon as possible. Highly recommend Owl Barn!

“Perfect place for a large group of friends” We had an amazing stay at Owl Barn recently with a group friends. The property is beautifully decorated and is perfectly equipped for a large group of people. I would highly reccomend the Lamb at Buckland for lunch or dinner; the food was delicious and all locally sourced. We will definitely be staying again!

“Beautiful barn, piles of space and super comfy beds!” We had a brilliant time at this gorgeous spacious and brilliantly well done barn. We particularly loved the enormous bunch of flowers and delicious cake on arrival! We'd definitely recommend this to anyone. Close enough to Oxford to go into town and explore but set in the gorgeous Cotswolds countryside with piles of space to play and explore. Brilliant.

“Loved it!” We spent a long weekend at Snipe barn, 5 ladies and 9 (!) children! It was perfect for our needs, very well equipped and very comfortable. We will definitely be back!

“A fabulous venue for larger groups - Couldn't be better” Owl Barn is a fabulous venue for a family party. The large open plan living/ dining/ Kitchen area means there is no seperating into small groups. There is plenty of space for 12 poeple and everything you could possibly need is provided. The accommodation is scrupulously clean, bright and tastefully furnished. The area is lovely with some great pubs/ restaurants near by ( although the barn itself is in a fairly isolated location but still only 1 mile from the village) The owners and the housekeeping staff are very helpful and I couldn't fault their service. I would definately use their company and this facility again.

“Perfect accomodation in a beautiful hideaway location!” We hired all three barns for our Wedding Party to stay in over the weekend of our Wedding. We couldn't have been happier with the barns themselves, they were beautifully decorated, so spacious and everything we needed was there, even down to the BBQs and BBQ tools! Although the barns are not too far from Bampton which has a village shop etc (should you forget to bring a vital ingredient!), they are off the beaten track and therefore provide an beautiful, tranquil backdrop for a relaxing break and you really do feel at one with nature sitting outside, glass of wine in hand, listening to the local wildlife from surrounding nature reserves! As it's quite secluded and self contained, it's a very safe environment for children to run around and spend time outside without you feeling like you have to keep an eye on them all the time. We would thoroughly recommend these barns, whatever the occasion and we will always remember the happy times we had there!

“Brilliant Cottage” Just spent a long weekend in Owl Barn. Everything was fantastic, the setting is great, even managed to watch a Barn Owl in broad daylight! Booking and check in was seamless, all in all I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as a place to stay.

Our published rates are for up to 10 people staying at the property. Additional people are charged a supplement of £75 per person up to an extra of 2-3 people.

We also offer an additional two mid-week rental rates based on smaller group sizes of 6-8 people staying at Owl Barn. Please enquire.

Weekends (Fri-Mon) are charged at 75% of our weekly rate-card.

Mid-week: Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri (3 nights) @ 50% of our weekly rate-card.

Mid-week: Mon-Fri (4 nights) @ 60% of our weekly rate-card.

Bank holidays (4 nights Thurs or Friday start) are charged at 85% of our weekly rate-card.

Payment is by bank transfer or by cheque.

We ask for 33% reservation payment to book the property and the balance 8 weeks before your arrival date. There is also a £300 damages deposit taken as security against the property and returned to you a few days after your departure.
