Rose Barn
About the home
Rose Barn is an beautiful and contemporary barn conversion sitting in the tranquil surroundings of a former farm in the Oxfordshire countryside. The property has recently undergone complete and careful renovation and today provides a spacious, welcoming holiday home for families and small groups alike.
The enclosed courtyard garden to the front of the property makes it particularly safe for children. The glass front to the property matches the contemporary interior and fills it with sunlight. It is set within Chimney Meadows, the largest nature reserve of the BBOWT (Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust).
The site totals 250 hectares of wildlife rich land along the banks of the River Thames. The reserve is of national importance for its species-rich wetland meadows that support large numbers of now scarce ground-nesting birds, and provides a haven for curlew, snipe and reed bunting. Oxford, Cheltenham, the Cotswolds and London approx 1.5 hours away. Children and well behaved dogs welcome.

I stayed here for my hen weekend as part of a group of 8 girls. We couldn't have hoped for better - there was plenty of space for us all to sit down in the dining room and the living room, and the kitchen was a good size. Sometimes apartments or cottages don't have enough living space but that definitely wasn't a problem here. The only issue was the showers - there were only two and neither of them were particularly effective. But that's only a minor point. I highly recommend this property. |

We spent a long weekend at Rose Barn and were happy with our choice when we arrived. The barn is a great size, clean and well decorated offering a number of well kitted out and comfortable rooms. We had such a nice stay we are looking to rent out the other barns alongside this one for a bigger group in 2012. The welcome cake was also extremely yummy! |

Guestbook for Rose Barn
We all thought that the barn was superb! Very well designed, well kitted out and perfect for a New Year getaway. The Barn was clean on arrival and we were impressed with the champagne and chocs waiting for us. The whole barn had pretty much everything we needed...We liked the place so much we also wanted to ask about availability for next year? Graham K, Jan 2009
