The Central England/Cotswolds region

This is the heart of England. Beautiful countryside with charming villages and traditional pubs, the Cotswolds also boasts historical cities like Oxford and cultural delights such as Woodstock and Stratford upon Avon

Oxford is a city of learning and history, but also of culture and vibrant living. There is so much to do and see here it is hard to know where to begin.

Tour the city centre and see the famous University and her beautiful colleges and park areas. Take out a punt on the Thames or the Cherwell River for a taste of Oxford Summer life. Enjoy all that the city has to offer in terms of shopping, restaurants, cinemas, theatres and extensive nightlife.

Just North of Oxford is the delightful village of Woodstock home to the famous Blenheim Palace and littered with fancy shops and tea-rooms.

May Day (1st May every year) is celebrated by the whole city beginning with a 5am gathering outside Magdalen College to here the Choir boys sing before heading to the Turf Tavern and other well known local pubs for breakfast with champagne or Pimms!

Mr and Mrs McKay experienced difficulty in connecting their own computer to the wireless internet facility available. To assist them we lent them a laptop for the duration of their stay. Neither we nor our other guests have experienced any difficulty with the internet facility in Eyot Place.
