Lovely riverside walks minutes away to Port Meadow, Nunnery ruins and fabulous village pubs.

When you visit Oxford you will be surrounded by some of England's most beautiful countryside.

The Cotswolds, found just to the north of Oxford, is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; famous for its delightful market towns and villages and gentle, rolling landscape. A real favourite with both local visitors and those from abroad.

Blenheim Palace to the west, is the much admired home to the 11th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and a World Heritage Site. Henley to south is the the home of the famous Henley Regatta and boat race with Cambridge.

Oxfordshire has something for everyone. Lunch at a historic friendly country pub, a visit to one of the many antique shops or enjoying walking, cycling, riding and other outdoor activities. Travelling to Oxford

The closest airport to Oxford is London Heathrow Airport however London Luton Airport and Birmingham airports are within an hour and a half drive from your holiday rental in Oxford.

The train station is 500m and the bus station 10 mins walk.

Those wishing to drive through the lovely Oxfordshire countryside can easily reach Oxford from the A34, M40 and M4.


The historic city of Oxford is a popular tourist destination and a highly sought-after film and TV location.

Both couples and families will find that there is loads to do. Hire a boat picnic on the river Thames or a punt for an hour. You may like to rent bikes or take a gentle stroll following the river path around the city. Visit the many museums, theatres, film trails and the world-famous Covered Market

Families can fish on the river, or try ice skating at the Ice Rink very near the house. Kids love to visit the Science Oxford centre or find out about the nearby old Castle Goal. There is something on every day to keep everyone happy.

Shop till you drop at the many specialist, independent stores and big high street shops in Oxford or at the nearby Bicester Village outlet centre. Enjoy the many lovely restaurants, music and dancing events, clubs and pubs.

Every interest and age group is catered for.

If you are staying on business you will find that Watermill is in an ideal location. 10 minutes walk from the Said Business school, the train station and local buses to the various business parks in the city.

"A wonderful place to make memories."

This was our home for two weeks and it truly felt like a home. We loved the decor, the views from our back patio and how close it was to all of the sights in town. Words that describe "Water Mill" cozy, happy, spotless, up to date, shower and bath tub, a hidden gem.

"Wonderful place in a PERFECT location"

We stayed here a week in April; the apartment was exactly as represented and was as nice as all the reviews suggest. The landlords were terrific, offering restaurant and pub tips (we loved them all) and providing help with us getting in. The place was sparkling clean and everything was there that we needed (even a French press). What we mostly loved was the location. Not only was it a short walk (5 minutes) to the train station but only about 15 to the center of town. But additionally it was 5 minutes to the Thames Path, with lovely biking and walking or 5 minutes to the Oxford canal. For those of you not Oxford-wise (like us) it was on the best side of town, with less traffic, and lots of nature. Would love to come back some day. The only downside is that it is a small apartment, so having four large people (such as two couples) might be not as good for a long time.
