The Central England / Cotswolds / Oxfordshire region
Oxford is deservedly famous for its history, its ancient university and its architectural beauty. It is also a modern city with an outstanding range of cultural activities and entertainment, and, not least, a thriving academic and business centre.
The city centre contains most of the city’s oldest buildings and many historical attractions, as well as the main shopping and entertainment centres. To the surprise of many visitors, the university is not located in one place: because of its historical development the various colleges and departments are spread over a large area, mainly in central and north Oxford. The many science and business parks lie outside the city, generally to the south.
Weekly Home has a variety of accommodation to meet the needs of visitors to the city. This includes some short let accommodation in the city centre itself and also a number of serviced self-catering apartments in the residential areas a short distance away.
The Oxford / Central Oxford area
Central Oxford is the heart of Oxford, with most of the historic architecture, notably the stunning college and university buildings, many of which date from medieval times. It is quite a small, compact area, and is world-famous for its outstanding beauty and cultural interest. Wander down the High Street from the central Carfax crossroads to Magdalen Bridge and the idyllic banks of the River Cherwell, and you will discover one beautiful scene after another in an architectural treasure trove of golden stone buildings, Gothic carvings, huge gates and glimpses of gardens beyond.
The city centre also contains the main shopping and entertainment centres, and offers a huge variety of restaurants, bars, cinemas, theatres, museums and concert venues for visitors' enjoyment.
Short let accommodation in Oxford city centre is limited and is therefore highly sought after. Visitors usually need to stay a short distance outside the city centre. Our serviced self-catering central Oxford apartments, within walking distance of the city's most famous attractions, offer a very special experience to visitors to the city.

The apartment is well laid out and in a very convenient location for Crowley Road and the centre of town. The kitchen is large and very well-equipped. The rest of the apartment was comfortable and cosy.
