The property is closely situated to the city centre, university amenities and Port Meadow (with nearby canal and access to open countryside). The railway station and bus station are just 12 to 15 minutes walk away. There is also a pleasant canal side walk which is a short cut to the railway station.
- The apartment provides spacious light and airy accommodation, ideal for couples and families, in a tranquil and safe environment. There is a pretty south facing patio for sitting out and for enjoying BBQ's. The kitchen is well equipped and makes self catering very easy. There are also many good restaurants in the neighbourhood, including Raymond Blanc's 'Brasserie Blanc' only 5 minutes walk through the vibrant Jericho area which contains many shops, Pubs and Restaurants.
- High-speed broadband Wi-Fi internet access and satellite TV are also provided free of charge. A barbecue is provided for guests to use on their private garden patio along with inside and outside dining areas. There is also easy access to the garden of the main house which provides ample room for children (and adults!) to play or for pets.

Oxford is conveniently situated for easy access to The Cotswolds and towns such as Stratford upon and Avon and Warwick to the north. There are many walking and cycling routes amongst the traditional villages.
To the south and east you have very inexpensive train and bus routes to London, Windsor and Brighton. To the west you have easy access to the beautiful city of Bath.
The Oxford / Central Oxford area
Oxford is internationally famous as the City of Dreaming Spires - The University of Oxford. Oxford has so much to offer, the beautiful architecture of the Colleges, music, art, theatre, galleries, museums, bookshops and many restaurants.
There are many activities to enjoy, including punting, relaxing in the university parks, cycling and site seeing. Blenheim Palace and the market town of Woodstock are just 15 minutes bus ride or drive north.

We have just come back from staying in the apartment in St Margaret's road and would like to say that it is a great place to stay in for a relaxing break in Oxford. The booking was really easy, efficiently handled and Hillary answered any queries we had and was very adaptable as to our arrival and departure times. It was so good I just had to give it a fab review as Hillary and her family so deserve this. Her son checked us in but it was handled in a very relaxing and efficient manner and we felt very comfortable straight away in the apartment. The apartment has it's own separate entrance and even though it is next to the owner's house you have complete privacy unless of course you have any problems and then it is great as you can get help easily. It was so relaxing, we felt at home straightaway and would love to have stayed longer. The decor is lovely, bright and positive with a very well equipped kitchen, a new dishwasher, has a toaster, cooker, microwave, lots of kitchen equipment, everything you could possibly need. We found it really welcoming that there was lots of toilet paper, loads of towels and even sugar, washing up liquid, soap and lots more there to use, umbrellas even. I have stayed in lots of accommodation and travelled a lot and this was by far the nicest apartment I have stayed in. The bedrooms are lovely, big and the beds were so comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean with excellent equipment, sky TV and a good dvd player. It was a shame the weather was not great as the little seating area outside is lovely. The heating system was also really great and easy to regulate. All the lighting throughout the flat worked and was great, really helped for atmosphere. The apartment is in a really great area of Oxford, a lovely quiet road not far from a beautiful canal walk, great children's play area and walking distance to Jerico which has everything you could possibly need. There are great restaurants in Jerico notably Momma Mia's which has fantastic Italian food as good as I have had in Italy, the Jerico Cafe for good breakfast and the greek restaurant Manos. There is also a lovely cinema and good pubs and a decent supermarket. You can walk from there into Oxford approx 20 minutes. We walked to the Pitts River Museum which is about 20mins and is a great place to take children, very interesting for anyone though. I especially liked the decor of the apartment and the way they included things like umbrellas, some provisions in the kitchens and plenty of great towels in the bathrooms. It was like a home from home. Thank you for a lovely stay and we hope to go back soon and will recommend your apartment to our friends. |

Very good communication from Hilary, the owner. Flat is in a great location, in a lovely part of town, easy walk to Jericho for restaurants etc., can walk into city centre too or catch bus from nearby bus stop. Flat well equipped with wifi and Sky TV, including movies/sports channels. Flat is a basement flat, entrance is via some quite narrow stairs, so probably not suitable for someone with limited mobility. |

. A little disappointed with the accommodation as although generally well equipped , the living area was rather small ,especially the kitchen , which was basically in a small space that would have been the corridor . The units and white goods were of a high standard , but if you wished to cook you would have found it difficult due to the size and lack of work surface . The advertisement stated two bathrooms . I booked for this reason . However, there was only one toilet . One room contained only a shower and wash hand basin . The bedrooms were a good size , but the second bedroom at the back was part of an extension and was rather dark as the windows were up about four foot , which I felt gave the room a cell like feel . The sitting room area was not very comfortable , one chair and one sofa . There was a fold up bed to sit on which was low and had no back support . I was a bit too old to sit on it. The apartment is advertised as accommodating up to 7 persons , It might be able to sleep this number if everyone was prepared to be very close ,sleeping on a sofa and sofa bed in the lounge area , but the dining area and seating area can only accommodate 4 max . There was a nice patio area which we could not use due to the time of year and this could expand the living space if we ever got good weather . The beds and bedding were generally very good , one duvet had some small rips in it . The apartment is walking distance of restaurants and the city centre . It is appropriate for a brief visit to Oxford . It is nice and warm , it has a telephone to make local calls and to contact the owner . Response: Thank you for your review. The floor plan is available on the advert and can also be emailed as a PDF, it shows the exact dimensions of all rooms, whilst the kitchen is pictured to give a very clear idea of the apartment. The holidaylettings.co.uk advert requires that we list how many master bathrooms, shower rooms and en suite bathrooms are in the property. The advert states that there is one shower room and one master bathroom with toilet and bath/shower, both contain wash basins so it is surprising to have confusion on this matter. The sitting room contains a three person sofa and armchair which are very comfortable. It also has four dining chairs around the dining table, the cushioned unit is there for additional seating but if a back support is required there is plenty of seating with this. The apartment is ideally suited for 4 - 5 persons, with two double beds and one single bed that can be added or removed as desired. The additional ability to accommodate up to 7 - 8 persons is there as an option for those who wish to make use of the sofa beds. For a balanced view of apartment please consult the previous reviews.
