About the home

The Oxford Castle site was opened by Queen Elizabeth 2nd in May 2006. It is situated in the city centre and the complex has many new restaurants and 'oxford castle unlocked' on the complex giving people the ability to walk around and inside the old castle, which is steeped in history over hundreds of years. Being right in the city centre you have no need of a car and there are no parking facilities on the complex. The apartment was built in 2006.Also on site is the prestigious 'malmaison' hotel in the former Oxford Prison and now a beautiful hotel but retaining all the character from the prison as shown on tv series 'Lewis'.
Plays and Christmas markets are held throughout the year on this complex, it is an extremely central location.

The modern kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave the comfortable lounge with colour tv, internet connections and dining area leads on to a balcony where there are seats for those wishing to smoke (apartment is smoke free) bedroom has a king size bed with mattress that moulds to your body for a perfect nights sleep.
The bathroom has a full sized bath and separate shower cublicle.
Smoking is not allowed in the apartment but is allowed on the balcony. Entry is by code to front door and camera permits you to see who is at the door.

Throughout the year many plays and other exhibitions are held in the grounds. The complex has been featured in the popular tv series 'Lewis'

The Castle site is in the centre of Oxford City with entrances off New Road and Castle Street.
Buses run direct from both Heathrow/Gatwick airports to Oxford Bus Station. short walk of approx 4 to 5 minutes.
The railway station is about 5 minute walk or get local bus outside rail station and it will stop outside Castle Complex 1 stop. A car is not needed for this city centre apartment.
