You will find our chalet located in one of Switzerland's best kept secrets! The village of Ovronnaz is quite unique - offering both wintersports and a fantastic Thermal Spa only minutes from our chalet.
The Thermal Centre is open all year round and in winter, entry can be included in your ski lift pass. What better way to relax after a day on the slopes!

Ovronnaz / Mayen de Chamoson area
In winter Ovronnaz is an all-round wintersports resort set amongst striking rock spires
- ski uplift to 2,500 metres. - Pistes 30% beginner, 50% intermediate and 20% expert - 25 kms of “loops” for cross country skiers. - 20 km of marked footpaths for winter walking - 11 km of snowshoeing trails. - also within easy distance of other resorts such as Verbier, Crans Montana and Zermatt for day trips

All year round you can enjoy:

How to get there
By car, the journey from the UK is very easy - motorway all the way until the last few kilometres. Alternatively you can fly into Geneva, Basel or Zurich airports - Easyjet flies into all 3. We recommend car hire if not arriving with your own transport - it makes the many beautiful spots in the area very easy to reach.
By hire car from Geneva airport will take less than 2 hours (140 Kms)
It is also possible to fly to Milan airport (Malpensa) and make a very scenic drive of about 3/4 hours over the Simplon pass. Easyjet flies frequently to Milan and the Simplon pass is open all year round. It's an unforgettable drive.
If using the train, the nearest train stations are Martigny or Sion. The resort can be reached by the local Post bus from Martigny or Sion or by local taxi.
Our chalet is located 2 kms from the centreof the village of Ovronnaz where you will find the shops and local supermarket.
Please note, in winter you should have snow chains with you in the car - this is a Swiss regulation.

In summer - Within 5 minutes walk there are several local hiking routes - Within 15 minutes walk The village centre and thermal pools as well as several cafés and restaurants
In winter - 5 minutes walk will take cross country skiers and snow shoe-ers to the tracks. - 5 minutes drive takes downhill skiers and boarders to the uplift facilities.
Further details outdoors: Ovronnaz is famous for its alpine ambience and its crystal-clear air all year round - but particularly in winter, when the sunshine sparkles on the snow.
Our chalet has a very quiet location at the end of a lane, surrounded by nature. Set between the mountains behind and the alpine meadows below, the views from the terrace look out over chalets dotted around the hillside where you will hear the gentle "tinkle" of cowbells in the summer months.
The south-facing terrace is large enough for a dining table and chairs and a good-size BBQ. There is private parking outside the chalet and also a small garage.

Our rental cost is inclusive of linen/towels and all local charges. The only additional charge is a, refundable, security charge.
Parties of more than 5 people may be possible by special arrangement.
Conditions
A deposit of 30% of the rental cost is taken to confirm a booking. The remainder of the rental charge, plus your security deposit are payable one month before arrival. Security deposits are returned as soon as possible after your stay.

February 16, 2009 We spent a wonderful snowy week in Ovronnaz. The chalet was fanatastic - spacious but warm and cosy. We especially enjoyed the log fire. It was well equipped - a real home from home.The decor and furnishings were very atmospheric and fulfilled our notion of true swiss charm. We couldn't have wished for more. Highly recommended. The ski-ing was great and the ski school perfect for out first timer 4 year old
July 26, 2008 This chalet is perfectly located to enjoy the best of skiing in Switzerland. The area provides a large area of mixed skiing with all of the advantages of living in a beautiful quiet village up the mountains. The local hot water spa allows you to end the day relaxed in the outdoor pools that steam away beautifully as the sun sets. We have been to Ovronnaz in the winter and enjoyed it so much that we went back to enjoy the fabulous mountain walks in the summer...... perfect!
August 2007 Just to say we probably had the best holiday we have ever had. The chalet was superb and the best nights of sleep we have had for a long long while- a mixture of the fresh air and excellent bed!
Christmas 2006 We just wanted to let you know what a truly special time we had - your chalet is beautifully done and so cozy, you can really see what a great job you've done to make it so lovely. We all loved Ovronnaz it is such a picture perfect place.
