About this location
The Turkish Aegean Coast region
Olu Deniz beach is the most photographed in Turkey. Every holiday brochure featuring Turkey has a picture of this world famous beach. Known as the Blue Lagoon, its beauty is well worth the short journey, hopping on one of the frequent and cheap dolmus (local minibus) to take you there.
Fethiye, an ancient town once known as Telmessos, is close to the resort of Hisaronu, and has developed as a modern holiday resort with a great deal of panache. Basking alongside a picturesque bay dotted with islands, Fethiye is an ancient town crammed full of traditional charm. Keeping a watchful eye on the town from above are a ruined fortress and the spectacular Lycian rock tombs, which bring tourists here with their cameras. Sunset is the best time to visit the rock tombs. Down near the harbour, you’ll discover the remains of a Roman theatre too. However if ancient sites aren’t your idea of holiday fun, then think about taking the 12 island boat tour around the bay, and stopping off at some to explore. Or catch a water taxi across the bay to Calis Beach.
Hisaronu sits in a fabulous location surrounded by the stunning pine-clad Babadag mountain. Days are easily spent lazing on the beach or by the pool, and venturing out at night to one of the many restaurants or lively bars. Located just above the world famous beach of Olu Deniz, Hisaronu has developed into a lively resort due to limited room for expansion in Olu Deniz itself.
The bustling streets lined with traditional Turkish houses with forests in the distance, give Hisaronu a real rural yet thriving feel. The locals are extremely friendly and welcoming to the tourists, and as such there are plenty of places to eat and drink. Quiet and relaxing by day, the resort transforms into a lively hub of entertainment by night. The bars and discos offer those with energy to burn the perfect opportunity to have some fun, while those preferring to relax can head to one of the many first-rate restaurants. The resort doesn’t have inflated prices, so it is entirely possible to have a cheap holiday in Hisaronu. The resort has many British visitors during high season, whilst maintaining its Turkish feel. Bordering Hisaronu is also the quieter resort of Ovacik which is still within walking distance. Ovacik also has a water park, which is a great day out.

"Couldn't ask for better"
The apartment was immaculate, everything was in working condition.
The location of the apartment was quiet with no noise from Hisaronu village even though it is only a 5 minute walk away.
I have been to Turkey in the same location 5 times and this time the Accomodation was the best by far and would certainly recommend this apartment.
