Situated away from the hustle and bustle of the holiday crowds yet located within easy walking distance to the Dolmus and local supermarkets and Tavernas it is an ideal choice for a young or older family wishing to enjoy the Al Fresco dining, large private pool and weather. Should you wish to see the more busier side of Hisaronu then it is a 20 minute stroll passing by more Restaurants, Shops and Tavernas.

Our Accommodation is spacious and practical in every sense. The large kitchen/diner with an island is fitted with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge freezer, sandwich toaster, kettle, toaster and coffee machine. The lounge has recently been upgraded to include a new L shape sofa, plasma tv, dvd player and play station and games.

Olive Garden Villa offers flexible sleeping arrangements - with one twin bedroom downstairs, suitable for the eldery/infirm, a downstairs bathroom is next to the lovely wooden staircase (child gate provided) which leads up to the hallway with french opening onto the most gorgeous, spacious terrace overlooking the pool and garden, perfect for escaping the sun and breathing in the fresh garden scents. The master bedroom has a double bed, large double wardrobes, a single divan/bed, french doors opening onto the balcony, dressing area and an ensuite fitted with vanity basin, wc bath and overhead shower with enclosed shower screen. The double bedroom has ample space, a large wardrobe and overlooks the stunning gardens, the twin room at the end of the coridoor is across from the family bathroom, also with shower. All the bedrooms are fitted with air conditioning.

The villa has solid wooden floors, beams and windows with shutters allowing the air to flow through the house in the hot summer months. French Doors from the kitchen lead onto the teraccota tiled Dining Terrace overlooking the larger than average swimming pool which is well maintained and cleaned daily. There are ample comfy sunloungers and parasol for reading books and lazing by the pool. A new gas bbq has also been added for ease of dining.

The nearby Dolmus travels to Olu Deniz and to Fetiye. If you are keen to explore then perhaps hire a car for a few days to see the stunning countryside and history of this delightful country.

The Turkish Aegean Coast region

Ovacik is a small Hamlet, 5km from the famous seaside village of Olu Deniz set on the world renowned Turquoise Coast famous for the National Park area of The Blue Lagoon.

The region which is typically bathed in sunshine for 300 days of the year, has something to offer everyone, from sunbathing and swimming to a variety of sporting activities, historical sites, and a perfect mix of culture and tradition.

There are many varied activities available locally:

Treking (the Lycian Way begins at Babadag in Ovacik Village)

Sailing (cruise to the beautiful Twelve Islands from Fethiye on numerous charter gulets or, barter, and hire one for the day and enjoy onboard fishing, barbeque, swimming and the delighful scenery of this beautiful coast line)

Rafting and Canoeing

Horse Riding

Ancient Sites (there is an Ampitheatre in Fetiye) together with several rock Tombs in the hillside

Kaya Koy - explore the deserted Greek village nestled in the hillside outside Hisaronu

Water Park (more suitable for the younger ones)

Go Karting

The Turquoise Coast with its outstanding natural beauty, fabulous climate, renowned hospitality, blue skies and sunshine - it's no wonder why people fall in love with this region and return again and again...

The nearest supermarkets are only 100 m from the villa, most of them will also deliver, particularly helpful for the heavy water and poolside drinks if you don't have a car. There is a selection of small Shops and Tavernas within the same strip. This year there are three new restaurants opening, all within a 5 minute walk. As you walk closer to the village of Hisaronu (some 20 minute walk) you will find a larger selection of Shops, Tavernas, Cafes, Restaurants and Entertainment to suit all tastes.

Olive Garden VIlla is 100m walk to the nearest Dolmus stop and after a 10 minute ride you will arrive at the beautiful coastal resort of Olu Deniz and the famous Blue Lagoon which is probably the most photographed beach in Turkey.

Fifteen minutes in the opposite direction will take you to the town of Fethiye with its bustling market, larger stores and relaxing tree lined Marina.

Local places to visit:

OLU DENIZ - This is the beachside town, which houses the famous Blue Lagoon. The lovely sandy beach is found at the foot of the mountain, and continues along a long stretch, to the Lagoon area. There are plenty of activities for the more energetic (watersports etc), but for those who wish to relax, there are plenty of sunbeds and parasols to enjoy a lazy day. The lagoon is very beautiful, and provide 'pond like' waters, to enjoy a cool down swim in the hot sun.

Enjoy water sports or experience parascending from the summit of the Babadag mountains down to the sandy beach of Oludeniz. There are plenty of Tavernas, Restaurants and shopping facilities all within walking distance of the beach.

HISARONU - This is a lively village and around a 20 minute walking distance from Olive Garden Villa. It is abundant in Shops, Bars, and a large variety of Restaurants (to suit all palets). There is also a Water Park, Go Kart Track and Fun Fair for the younger generation! A weekly market is held in the centre and offers an abundance of fare and variety and a fun introduction to friendly Turkish bartering!

KAYA KOY - Also known as Ghost Town - This is an ancient historical area where once the greeks resided until leaving Turkey. Now, however still unihabited, it provides an enjoyable and interesting location to visit. The Levissi Garden restaurant will pick you up and return you home if you are dining there!

FETHIYE -The bay of Fethiye provides a natural Port and Harbour and is an important stop for Yachtsmen from all over the world. There are numerous boat trips to neighbouring islands, water taxis to other coastal resorts and a huge weekly market which takes place every Tuesday. The Fish Market is everyday, and is situated behind the main harbour road. There you can choose your fish/seafood and the nearby restaurants will cook it for you. The Marina is delighful to walk around in the evening as is the Promenade towards Calis Beach offering many choices of cuisines. The old town area is worth visiting and has some nice restaurants for al fresco dining.

GOCEK - (30 minutes) - For many years the natural harbour of Gocek has been enjoyed and admired by Sailors from all over the world. Today the village and its impressive Marina is visited by International travellers who enjoy the chance to stay in one of the most beautiful coastal settings in Europe. Sparkling turquoise waters are complimented by natural inlets and rugged soaring mountains. From Gocek marina you can book special sailing trips and trips to local beaches and nature reserves around the bay.

SAKLIKENT - Is a 40 minute journey either by local bus, organised trip or self-drive hire car. The attraction here is a cool, dark, narrow gorge about 300m high and 18km long carved out by the churning waters of the Esen River. You can gain access to the gorge by means of a suspended wooden catwalk - for the less intrepid, restaurants at the base of the gorge are well known for their fresh trout caught locally. Spend an unforgettable day here, either exploring the gorge or dozing in one of the large hammocks positioned over the cool mountain waters. In the summer the Turks come here to escape the heat and wallow in the cool, green calm.

"Amazing, best holiday ever!"

What a way to spend the normal rainy british summer!
This is an amazing villa, with beautiful original features. Very spacious but cosy.
We went as a family of 9 and there was plenty of room indoors and out.
The gorgeous views made the morning worth waking up for, and beaming sunshine was enjoyed by all in the lovely swimming pool, which was cleaned daily.
Towels and bed linen were provided and washed for us at the end of our stay, so no worrying about the washing although a machine and linen line are provided too.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the latest appliances, sandwich toaster, coffee machine etc.
I will definitally be returning annually!!!!!
Service recieved was to the highest standard and the owners are such lovely, helpful and welcoming people. Also thanks to Lucy and co. for arranging our airport transfers which were waiting for us when we arrived and were ready to load the minibus when we left.
Couldn't be happier with our amazing family holiday!!!!
