Particularly conveniently located in Ovacik, this impressive villa really does offer everything you could wish for and more for a fantastic holiday experience.
Mountain View Villa is a truly luxurious 2 Bedroom property, sited on a unique and impressive elevated corner plot, which balances very highly specified accommodation with fantastic outdoor space, including a sizeable 40 metre square private swimming pool with its own adjacent hotel inspired shower, boasting an imposing Babadag Mountain backdrop!
The sizeable and perfectly positioned sun terrace offers an all important aspect, which benefits from full sun throughout the day.
Most importantly, Mountain View Villa benefits from an expansive covered veranda, so essential for midday shelter in the height of summer, coupled with the cooling lunchtime mountain breeze.
Mountain View is a particularly attractive villa both outside and in. A contemporary & stylish villa, tastefully furnished with great care, including bespoke locally crafted chestnut furniture and orginal artwork throughout. Retained primarily for personal use until 2010, this villa is immaculately presented and its inventory is of a much higher standard and much more comprehensive than the norm.
Downstairs, there is an impressive, light and airy open plan Kitchen Living Area and separate Cloakroom, whilst upstairs the Master Bedroom is double aspect and has its own teak furnished balcony, with a lovely outlook. It's spacious en-suite has a full sized bath, with screened shower over. The second Twin Bedroom offers an en-suite shower room and a smaller Juliette balcony overlooking the swimming pool and gardens.
So often overlooked but key to your holiday happiness, both Mountain View Villa bedrooms are equipped with high quality beds & orthopaedic mattresses, carefully selected and purchased from Fethiye's reputable Belona store to ensure a comfortable night's sleep.
Mountain View Villa is in a great location, balancing privacy with convienience to local amenities. It is only a 5 minute stroll away from grocery shops, bars, restuarants and even a very reputable and widely used chemist. The wonderful thing is that you reallly don't need a car - as the owner with two young children, I have never felt the need to hire one! A fun day out at the nearby and extremely popular Aquapark is even within easy walking distance.
The frequent and inexpensive dolmus (minibus) service, accessed just at the top of the main road c.150 metres from the villa, provides an excellent transport link to the busy nightlife of nearby Hisaronu, the wonderful beaches at Oludeniz and the fascinating harbour town of Fethiye.
Another great advantage of Mountain View Villa are the excellent facilities on offer to guests at the neighbouring and highly rated Club Orka Resort & Hotel. As owners, we often enjoy a meal on the terrace here, which commands a lovely panoramic view and our children enjoy hooking up with friends at the main swimming pool, which has a water slide. We then retreat back to the privacy of Mountain View whenever we feel like it, getting the best of both worlds.

The Turkish Aegean Coast region
Oludeniz has been described as "the Eden bestowed by God to the World". It's beautiful 3km beach is lapped by crystal clear turquoise blue waters. It is very easily accessed from Mountain View Villa by Dolmus (the frequent and inexpensive local minibus service) but an added bonus is that both the very cool Buzz Beach Bar and the ever popular private Sugar Beach Club offer free pick up and return to the Villa as well!
It is well worth paying the small entry fee to go into the Blue Lagoon National Park, which is much more family friendly than the Belcekiiz public beach, both in terms of safer swimming and amenities.
Another very popular and welcome alternative is the shaded & contemporary cafe/restaurant at the Sugar Beach Club, which is very pleasant indeed, serving great food. It is free to enter this club complex, better known by the locals than first-time tourists. However, typical charges are made for sunbeds by a very customer friendly team, so it all seems very relaxing and worthwhile.
To round off your day, it is great to arrive upstairs on the open terraces at the Buzz Beach Bar just before 8pm to witness the paragliders returning down from their last flight from Babadag Mountain each day, literally just overhead! Although, more akin to UK prices The Buzz Beach Bar is seriously cool, serving fantastic food and thus very addictive. The only caution is the in-house DJ set, which whilst chic can be a little loud for those tables closest and thus may be seen as too obtrusive by some. This restaurant is so popular that you really do need to book your favourite table well ahead.
In Fethiye, the Taurus Mountains provide a magnificent backdrop to a stunning natural port & harbour. Easily reached from the top of the road by Dolmus, this jewel is a firm favourite with those preferring traditional culture.
On your way in, if arriving by Dolmus, why not stop off and visit Fethiye's impressive Fish Market, surrounded by a courtyard of hard to resist restaurants, where you actually choose your very own fresh caught fish, from a variety of sellers - then the restaurant cooks your prized fish, just how you like it!
Fethiye is also arguably the best place to pick up more genuine souvenirs in the Old Town of Paspatur - perhaps best late at night, when retailing comes alive. Maybe buy some valuable spices or one of the best bargains - cashmere & silk pashminas, in every colour under the rainbow c. 2 for £12! A local dining must is the long established Megri Lokantasi restaurant, located in the heart of the Fethiye's Old Town action.
A huge and popular market is held in Fethiye every Tuesday and daily gulet sailing trips cruise the picturesque 12 Islands. Our own favourite boat trip is just to take the extremely inexpensive Water Dolmus (half hour trip) to Calis Beach - perhaps dining at one of the many promenade waterfront retuarants, to watch the sun majestically set over the 12 Islands.
Other essential nearby daytrips include visiting Kayakoy - a fascinating abandoned Greek settlement, dating back to 3 thousand BC, where horseriding is now popular. Here there are several, excellent local pancake restaurants - some with tranquil pools for a lunchtime dip.
Gemiler Beach is also very much a must, with Gemiler Island offering fascinating Byzantium ruins and being dedicated to Saint Nicholas. We hired canoes to paddle out with the children last year, which really added to the sense of adventure.
Further afield, Patara is Turkey's longest and often most deserted beach, offering extensive white sands but beware as it is very exposed, with very little shade.
Perhaps the most popular day trip is a combined trip to the ruins of Tlos (home to Pegasus) - one of the most important cities of the Lycerian Federation, where ruins include rock tombs, a stadium, baths, gymnasium & palaestra. This can be followed by a restful pancake break at the shaded and tranquil Yakapark trout farm. The afternoon is then best spent exploring Sallikent (translation "hidden city") - Europe's 3rd longest canyon at 18 km. Here, lunch can be enjoyed, whilst dangling your feet into the crystal clear cooling waters, at one of the many riverside restaurants, perhaps followed by an exhilarating rafting expedition!
A close runner up is a day trip to Dalyan, journeying by river past the rock tombs to Turtle Beach, followed by a classic moment shared with friends and family, submerged in the rejuvenating sulphur mud baths!
I have done my best to prepare an illustrated CD-Rom for guests booking Mountain View Villa, detailing all these and many more ideas to help you decide how to make your own truly memorable Turkish holiday experience - just ask for this on booking. I then happily offer to discuss and advise on ideas & preferences, according to individual interests, with the aim of ensuring that anyone staying at Mountain View Villa really does make the most of what this beautiful area of Turkey has to offer - thus hopefully experiencing the very best holiday possible.
Ovacik is conveniently and relatively quietly located on an all important cooler mountain plateau, between the tranquil, fascinating and largely unspoilt harbour town of Fethiye (6Km) and Turkey's most prized & beautiful Blue Lagoon Beach at Oludeniz (4km). It makes an ideal geographic base, from which to explore this very diverse and popular area of Turkey's Turquoise Coast.
Ovacik offers a handful of restaurants, smaller supermarkets, a chemist, car hire and taxi rank within easy walking distance. A fun day out on foot can also be had at the nearby Aquapark, which really is entertaining for all the family. Turn right at the main road for the nearby and popular Three Cheers restaurant, which offers a good mix of local Turkish dishes or why not be entertained during a Turkish Night Buffet at the next door Orka Resort on a Wednesday. Contrastingly, the modern Mirage offers sporting refuge (via its large screen TV) and a fish & chip special of great scale! Simple set menu pleasure can also be sampled by turning left at the main road and giving the small Yasaroglu Hotel restaurant a go
The much livelier nearby tourist resort of Hisaronu (1.4km) buzzes with life in summer and offers a wealth of competing restaurants, bars and shops. It is also where tour agents, banks and the post office are based. We would generally opt to walk there (slightly downhill), perhaps returning by Dolmus (the frequent and inexpensive local minibus service) or taxi. The Doctors and much larger Migros and Azda supermarkets are also based here. A market is held in Hisaronu every Monday throughout the main tourism season. A few poular restaurants here include: Shanghai Blues (above Azda supermarket), Lemon Tree (Set Menu c.18YL), Mamma Mia's (Italian), The Olive Tree (intimate but more expensive), Shine (Indian), Dragonara (Chinese) and the Suzanne (Turkish).
When you just need to put your feet up back at Mountainview Villa, why not be naughty one night and dial for a delivery to the door (free of charge) from either TLG Chicken or Pizza Pizza!
Mountain View Villa really does combine privacy & tranquility with great access to wide-ranging local services.

"Lovely villa in a great location!"
Mountain View Villa is situated in an outstanding location in Ovacik. The villa is extremely well appointed, with a lovely pool and a very well maintained interior. The kitchen is very well appointed and the air conditioning works very well! The owner - Helen - is extremely kind and helpful, and provides support with reservations, transfers and recommendations on places to see and eat. Danielle and Clare at Activities Unlimited provide great support with car rental and excursions. The villa is located very close to Hisonaru and Oludeniz, and a hire car is truly not needed. Shops and restaurants galore are on the doorstep, although the villa is located in a quiet side street. All in all, a great place to stay on holiday!

Myself and my wife stayed at Mountain View Villa with our Son and his girlfriend for two weeks in September 2012 . We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay , Ben the owner has thought of everything to make your stay perfect the Villa is like home from home the Views all around the villa are very nice , the pool is great very clean and the pool guy comes 6 times a week to clean the pool and the area around the pool. Inside the villa is very clean and fresh the beds are the best we have slept in away from home always had a great nights sleep , The bath and showers were great always had plenty of hot water , the kitchen area was fine plenty of oven dishes wok pans plates again Ben has thought of everything that you will need to make your stay stress free. The living area is very cosy with two large settees and 3 Turkish bean bags 2 for adults and 1 for a child . You are only 10 to 15 minutes walk away from Hisaronu or 5 minutes by bus and the cost of a bus will cost you apprx £1.00 taxi from Hisaronu back to the villa 10 lira but we payed 8 lira as we haggled with them . This is the first time that we have booked a Villa and got our own flights and from now on I will always choose a villa over a Hotel . Ben will make your stay at Mountain View easy and stress free so easy to book and the transfers from Dalaman to the villa was stress free . The guys from Holliday lettings will always be there for you any problems and they will make sure something is done , We had a very nice stay at Mountain View , Thank you Ben

"Outstanding villa in great location"
Just returned from a week at this absolutely lovely villa, the stunning mountains surrounding the area were just breathtaking. Very conveniently situated for travelling around to Olu Deniz or Fethiye. Lots of local shops and restaurants within walking distance or jump on the Dolbus at the top of the road. Our first time in Turkey and really enjoyed it, will be back.
