In the surrounding area , you have medieval cities like Brugge, Gent, Damme, Brussels and Antwerp.

You can easily make a daytrip to Ypres and to the Ypres Salient.

Bruges is only 15 km away, Ostend and the Belgian coastline only 10 km.

Cheap bicycle hire in the village (1.5km).
From the house, there is a lovely cycle track (along the canal and through the polders) which leads to Ostend and Bruges.

Fly to Brussels, Ostend or Charleroi and rent a car
