The apartment is on the ground floor with air-conditioning. On entering the apartment the kitchen and living/dining area are connected. Leading off the hallway the shower room,second bedroom and main bedroom are located. French doors leading from the main bedroom out onto the spacious courtyard where you can enjoy a relaxing meal with a glass of Salento wine whilst catching the last rays of the days sunshine.Peaceful and tranquil location!

Uggiano La Chiesa is located only 4km away from well known Otranto where the Italians holiday!

Otranto / Uggiano la Chiesa area

Uggiano La Chiesa............... is a typical rural Salentina town the perfect location to feel like one of the locals and is only a two minute drive from Otranto.It is also only 2 km distance from the stunning Adriatic coastline....a drive not to be missed from Uggiano to the 'Tip of the Heel' at Santa Maria di Leuca.
Quiet and peaceful location with nearby facilities of restaurants,pizzerias and supermarkets.
Explore local markets or be adventurous and try the local cuisine in an agriturismo restaurant....La Scallele and La Fattoria are two we would recommend.
The Pizzeria's In Uggiano are L'Incontro,L'Arcata and Al Capone all have a take-away service available also.
There is an excellent Restaurant in the town called the Gattamora which has a first class name for itself in the local area.
Otranto...........The Adriatic port of Otranto is the eastern most city in Italy and is protected by the powerful Aragonese Castle and overlooks an emerald sea.

Otranto was a pitstop for the Turks,The Crusaders,Byzantines and The Normans and each left their mark on the area.

Uggiano La Chiesa is an ideal base to discover surrounding towns and cities .Just to give you an idea of distances: Uggiano La Chiesa to the following places -

Ideal location for Go-karting at La Conca circuit Muro Leccese, which is only 10km distance away.

The apartment is ideal if you are attending the Scuola Porta d'Oriente language school in Otranto as it is only a five minute drive away.
An ideal location if you are organising a biking holiday in Puglia and the self-catering facilities are perfect!

There are two swimming pools further down the coast one at Zinzulusa Caves and the other at Castro(BluBay) both are only open in High Season.
Water sports are available at Alimini Beach(north of Otranto) only in the month's of July and August.



We have two bikes available for HIRE at a cost of 18 euros per day for the two!
One week hire 100 euros for the two bikes.

Flying from London(Stansted) to Brindisi/Bari
use www.ryanair.com for cheap flights.
British Airways fly from Gatwick to Bari April to October, Alitalia,My Air,Easy Jet via Rome or Milan. Other airlines fly to Brindisi/Bari from Brussels, Paris, Frankfurt and Amsterdam.

There is no specific change over day .Confirmation deposit is needed as soon as possible to secure the property which is 25% of the total rental cost .Remainder balance due 12 weeks before arrival.In case of breakages 100euros Security Deposit is due which will be returned after the apartment has been checked.
Owners live only 1km away and are English speaking.
