The apartment is on the ground floor with 3 large bedrooms,shower room,bathroom, spacious Kitchen/Lounge area,laundry room and external storage room.There is a large courtyard which has table/seating area and is also ideal and safe for children to play. It is only a ten minute walk to the centre of Otranto where you will find restaurants,bars and cafes in the Historic Centre of Otranto also only 20metre from Otranto sea front..Car parking space is available at the front of the apartment .Alimini beach only 10 mins away by car and Otranto beach 2 mins walk away.

The Puglia/Molise region

Salento this peninsula extending southeast between Ionic and Adriatic contains landscapes considered to be the most beautiful in Italy.

On the coast of the Adriatic sea still free from excessive tourism,visitors are rewarded with breathtaking scenery,cliffs overhanging the ocean,marine grottos and hidden inlets where one can enjoy the beauty of the sea.

Descending from Lecce often called ' Florence of the South' for the incomparable beauty of its churches and monuments,we find gorgeous locales such as Otranto,Santa Cesarea,Castro and on the extreme point of Salento Santa Maria Di Leuca.

Puglia has some of the finest and reasonably priced foods and wines in the country.
Also local restaurants, agriturismo's and cafes are all reasonably priced.

Otranto area

Welcome to one of Southern Italys best kept secrets the Adriatic port of Otranto,the eastern most city in Italy protected by the powerful Aragonese Castle and overlooking an emerald sea.

Otranto was a pitstop for the Turks,The Crusaders,Byzantines and The Normans and each left their mark on the area.

This seaside town is an ideal base to discover surrounding towns and cities .Just to give you an idea of distances: Otranto to the following places -
Santa Cesarea Terme 16km,Castro 22km,Poggiardo 23km,Maglie 17km,Lecce 46km,Capo Santa Maria Di Leuca 45km,Galatina 32km,Gallipoli 68km,Ostuni 130km,Alberobello 165km

Ideal location for Go-karting at La Conca circuit Muro Leccese, which is only 10km distance away.

The apartment is ideal if you are attending the Scuola Porta d'Oriente language school in Otranto as it is only a 15 minute walk away.
We also have a large storage area for bikes if you are organising a biking holiday in Puglia and the self-catering facilities are ideal!

Throughout the summer month's there are many local festivals in the vicinity of Otranto.

Perhaps you just want a beach holiday and relaxation time this is also the perfect location to discover a very beautiful part of Italy and I'm sure you will not be disappointed!!
There are two swimming pools further down the coast one at Zinzulusa Caves and the other at Castro(BluBay) both are only open in High Season.
Water sports are available at Alimini Beach(north of Otranto) only in the month's of July and August.



We have two bikes available for HIRE at a cost of 18 euros per day for the two!
One week hire 100 euros for the two bikes.

Flying from London(Stansted) to Brindisi/Bari

British Airways fly from Gatwick to Bari April to October, Alitalia,My Air,Easy Jet via Rome or Milan. Other airlines fly to Brindisi/Bari from Brussels, Paris, Frankfurt and Amsterdam.

Brindisi-Otranto (approx 1 1/4 hr drive)nearest airport.
Bari-Otranto(approx 2 hr drive)

Car hire available at airport Hertz,Europcar,National,Maggiore,Sixt etc.

Conditions

There is no specific changeover day out of season. Although during the months of July and August Saturday to Saturday changeover days are prefered.Confirmation deposit is needed as soon as possible to secure the property which is 25% of the total rental cost .Remainder balance due 12 weeks before arrival.In case of breakages 100euros Security Deposit due which will be returned after apartment has been checked.Owners live only 6km away and are English speaking.
