A lovely grade 2 listed cottage with all modern conveniences, whilst retaining a relaxed feel. The cottage is suitable for couples or families alike, offering a range of sleeping accommodation, including a king-size bed. An open fire in the lounge is perfect to unwind in front of after a day exploring.

Featured on the BBCs Springwatch and Countryfile Lake Vyrnwy is set in unspoilt countryside, with stunning views from all aspects. The area offers diverse activities from walking and cycling to water sports, horse riding and clay pigeon shooting. The lake and surrounding reserve is a haven for wildlife and a bird spotters paradise.

In an area framed by mountains and with two lakes the Lake Vyrnwy/Bala area is ideal for touring both North and Mid Wales.

Within driving distance to the boundary of Snowdonia National Park and the beaches of the west coast.

Further afield explore the historic towns of Llandrindod Wells and Brecon.

The Oswestry / Llanwddyn area

Lake Vyrnwy itself is an outdoor enthusiasts dream with all manner of activities on offer, from stunning walks from the cottage doorstep, to cycling and fishing. The Lake Vyrnwy Hotel has a spa with a wealth of different treatments to pamper yourself.

From M6 take J10a for M54 - Telford, North and Mid Wales
Continue onto A5 following signs for Shrewsbury and then Oswestry.
At Mile End, Oswestry roundabout take 1st exit sign posted South Wales/Welshpool.

“A hidden gem” We have just come back from a lovely 2 weeks at this cottage. It was clean and comfortable. The location just near the lake was more than we could have hoped for. We stepped out of the door right onto the park and the lake, our 4 yr old son loved it. The cottage is located in a quiet area but a aperfect base from which to explore the coast and other interesting days out. The lake itself is stunning and there are some lovely cafes there along with cycle hire and treks into the woods.Would highly recommend it and I am sure we will be back.
