The Powys/Brecon Beacons region

A E Housman once wrote that Shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

Oswestry

Knockin is a lovely village, well situated between Shrewsbury and Oswestry and close to the England/Wales border. Knockin benefits from St Mary's Church, a lovely 12th century church, a village shop known as 'The Knockin Shop' and the Bradford Arms pub, where you can enjoy good food. This is a lovely base for touring Shropshire.
