Home description
A small independent house with a lot of charme, very cosy, well equipped and nicely furnished. Located in a quiet alley in the heart of the old city ("centro storico"), with a beautiful open view on the valley and on the sea. Very close to the ancient cathedral and pictoresque alleys, restaurants, bars, pub and handicraft shops.
It is composed of a living room with fully equipped kitchenette and single sofa-bed, a large double bedroom with an extra single bed and bathroom with shower.
The house is cool also in summer because of the old and thick walls. There is a ceiling fan, and heater for winter time. The house is very well equipped to allow long term stay.
A nice and friendly Englisg spoken Italian lady will receive you and will provide all the information and suggestion to help our guests enjoying a wonderful stay.

The Puglia/Molise region
Puglia is a peaceful untouched country with rustic charm, huge old olive trees and vineyards. It is the land of "trulli" and "masserie".
Not far from Ostuni there are very attractive small typical villages (Cisternino, Locorotondo, Martina Franca, Alberobello), nice fisher ports, magnificent Baroque and Romanic cathedrals, medieval Castles and Forts like the UNESCO world heritage Castel del Monte, the Grotte di Castellana (large underground cave network), Torre Canne health spa, the superb baroque town of Lecce, and several wondeful beaches along the coastline.
Puglia has some of the best foods and wines in the country, excellent regional dishes and fresh fish at very reasonable prices.
Ostuni / Ostuni Centre area
Ostuni, the medieval city also known as the "Città Bianca", the white city, is "one of the most stunning small towns of southern Italy" (Rough Guide), "town of stark, whitewashed buildings... recall a Northern African Arab medina" (Lonely Planet).
All around there are many little typical restaurants, cocktail bars and pizzeria. You can have a regional cooking school at the restaurant "Osteria del Tempo perso", just near the property. A big market is held every Saturday in the new part of the town, and every 2nd Sunday of the month a very interesting antiquities market is held in the "Villa Comunale".
The sea (8 km) is clean (many lovely Blue Flag beaches!), partly rocky, partly sandy to satisfy different taste. There is a WWF protected National Park at the beach of Torre Guaceto and nature walk behind it. The climate is never too hot during summer because of fresh constant wind.

Ryanair flies direct to Brindisi and Bari from Stansted Airport British Airways and Alitalia also flies to Bari
From Brindisi to Ostuni is a 30 minute drive and from Bari a 50 minute drive Taxis are available from both airports (apx € 50 from Brindisi to Ostuni) Car hire is recommended (both airports provide many on-site outlets)
By train from various destinations to Ostuni Railways Station (taxi available from Station to Ostuni: € 10) By car: Autostrada to Bari, Superstrada to Ostuni
