About the home

This beautiful trulli was completely renovated and extended in 2007 by its English owners to create a 3 double bedroomed, 2 bathroomed holiday home. The home is set in 3 acres of olive and almond groves in a lovely rural setting. There are delightful countryside views and a real feeling of privacy and tranquility despite being only 10 minutes from the bars, restaurants and shops of Ostuni. We have tried to give the property a cool contemporary feel without compromising the beauty and simplicity of the original structure or of the surrounding countryside.
The home consists of trullis with a torre ostunese, a small square building - the original two hundred year old stone built trulli which has 1 large double bedroom, 1 bathroom and a living/dining/kitchen (with double sofa bed) and the newly built extension (also a trulli built by local builders to compliment the existing building) which has 2 double bedrooms, a bathroom and a living/dining/kitchen. They have separate entrances. This arrangement makes them ideal for groups where 2 guests would prefer increased privacy, for example two couples one of which has two children or a family with grandparents.
The trullis have fully stocked kitchens and large bathrooms. The new extension also has a dishwasher. Both parts also have access to a large ulitity room with a washing machine, iron, ironing board etc. All the garden furniture is by Emu and of very high quality. The pool which was completed in 2008 has a large terrace around it with sun loungers and a huge umbrella. There is also a separate outdoor, partially covered eating area with a large table and chairs and an outdoor cooking area with bbq, sink and work area. This makes it ideal for alfresco dining or just sipping a cocktail as you watch the sun set over the hills. There is also a large terrace in front of the trullis. The whole property is beautifully lit up at night so you can enjoy the warm evenings for as long as you want to.
The property is approached down a long rural lane and has large gates at the entrance and a shaded parking area.

50% deposit required to secure booking. Remaining 50% of fee required 2 months before arrival date. If booking less than 2 months before arrival date then full fee due on booking. Deposit is non refundable. A £200 fully refundable deposit will also be required 2 weeks before arrival to cover any damages. This will be returned directly after your stay.
Our property is full managed - you will be met, have an opportunity to ask questions and have things explained, the pool is cleaned twice a week and if you have any problems during your stay our manager will be available to assist you.

The itria valley which is full of trulli is quite unique.
Beautiful old olive trees everywhere and masseria (farmhouses) that are now luxury hotels and restaurants

The Ostuni / Casalini area

Ostuni which is 10 minutes away by car and a great town = medieval, whitewashed hill town known as the citta biancha. There are lots of good restaurants and bars and plenty of quality shops aswell. It has quite a trendy feel to it helped by a few very upmarket bars and hotels.
Cisternino, Locorotondo and Martina Franca are also near and worth a visit.
Slightly further afield Lecce has some great Baroque architecture.
The beaches and sea around the area are great and very unspolit. Nearby is Rosa Marina which is very pleasant but if you want really amazing beaches and crystal clear water head to Torre Guaceto which is a 20 minute drive towards Brindisi.
You must visit Alberobello which is incredble (full of trullis) but also full of bus louds of tourists in the summer.

Both BA and Ryanair fly to nearby airports. BA fly to Bari (1 hr from house) and Ryanair fly to both Bari and Brindisi (30 mins frm house)
You should arrange to hire a car from the airport.
From the airport take the mainroad that runs between Bari and Brindisi and head towards whichever Ciy you didn't arraive in (if you landed at bari head towards Brindisi and vice versa). Leave the road when you see signs to Ostuni and head up to Ostuni. Once near Ostuni our Manager will meet you at the AGIP petrol station on the road just before you enter the town itself. He will escort you to the property and answer any questions that you have regarding the property and its facilities. On booking you will be given his contact details and full instructions.

You will remember how nervous we were booking having never hired a villa direct before. I can only say that all our fears were immediately allayed and how overjoyed we all were with the trulli, the pool, the setting, the space and the area and proximity to beautiful Ostuni. The space inside both trulli was wonderfully generous, plenty of room for both families to spread out and have their own space while still being part of the same area - brilliant! And the pool was of course the hub of our holiday.

The place is so idyllic, fell in love with the area which is worth exploring. Also worth doing is sitting in the dome of the old trulli at night to stargaze, we saw the moon, venus, mars etc. It was very spiritual. What is also fun is to light candles around the bbq area - very pretty! The pool was amazing. We hope you will enjoy the trulli and pool as much as we did - a truly memorable, amazing holiday. Ottavio is very helpful - especially about places to eat.
