Villa Kate is located in a quiet area close to the centre of Ostuni. It is situated in its own area of land surrounded by olive and fruit trees. The Villa is fully furnished and caters for all your needs for a relaxing holiday. Externally there is a roof terrace, large pool furnished with sun loungers and sun shades, an outside terrace furnished with table and chairs and a barbecue. The Villa is ideally situated for those who want privacy and relaxation, or those who want a comfortable base to be able to explore the region and all it has to offer.

The Puglia/Molise region
The Apulia / Puglia region had a historical role as a great crossroads for many different cultures, and is a treasure-house of art and culture. The region could be described as one great archaeological site, with its dolmens, cathedrals, castles, traces of forgotten cities, and abandoned medieval villages. There are two World Heritage sites, Castel del Monte and the truli town of Alberobello.
Alongside all of this there is stunning countryside, 500 miles of coastline, beaches of all descriptions, and an abundance of restaurants.
The area has a Meditterranean climate, being hot and dry from May right through to October.
Villa Kate is well positioned to explore the region being just outside Ostuni ("The White City"), one of the most stunning cities in southern Italy famous for the dazzling effect of its whitewashed houses.
Ostuni / Contrada Martucci area
The city of Ostuni is a must. It is a series of levels, staircases, small roads, alleys, arches. Plenty to see and lots of restaurants to relax in after the sight seeing. Every Saturday there is a lively market which caters for everything you can imagine.
Throughout the year there are numerous festivals with the La Cavalcata being a horse parade that follows the procession of Saint Oronzo, the protector of the city towards the end of August. There are too many places to mention but other towns to see are Alberobello, the home of the Truilli, the Castellano caves, Lecce and Martina Franca.
The coastline is 10 minutes away and whether driving south or north there is access to the coastline and beaches to cater for all, from rocky to sandy, quiet to busy. Activities for families are the Zoo Safari combined with funfair and shows at Fasano, ten pin bowling/amusement park near Ostuni and in Monopoli there is a children's indoor play centre
There are too many sites to visit, restaurants to try, markets to shop, festivals to experience in one go. Your first visit will leave you wanting to return to the region. In the Villa there will be an information pack listing full details and recommended places, which is added to each time we visit!
How to get there
- Closest Airports: Brindisi (approxiamtely 40 minute drive) or Bari (approximately 65 minute drive)
- Airlines: Ryanair or British Airways from Stanstead or London Gatwick respectively.
- Numerous Car Hire Firms available at the Airports. Hertz, Avis etc. We have found www.holidayautos.co.uk give good rates with the rental companies.

Further details indoors: The property sleeps eight comfortably. The main bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite with a shower. The second bedroom is a double and the third bedroom sleeps four in 2 bunk beds. All rooms have good cupboard space. Fans are in all rooms with air conditioning being available in the kitchen/dining area and the conservatory. The communal bathroom has a jacuzzi bath.
The kitchen is well furnished and in the dining area the table can be extended easily dependent upon numbers. The dining area leads to a conservatory which is furnished with two comfortable sofas and a table. The TV is in the conservatory and a selection of games and books are available to use.
Further details outdoors: The property is situated in sizeable grounds which have olive, fruit and palm trees. There is a large pool (12m x 6M) and loungers available for all quests. The pool area is lit and the pool also has internal lights. There is an outdoor shower.
At the rear of the building there is an outdoor toilet and the room also has a washing machine. A barbecque is available to the front of the house, close to the covered outdoor terrace which is fully furnished with table and chairs. There is a fully tiled roof terrace.
The property is very private, has ample parking and is totally enclosed by a large gate, walls and fencing.

- Welcome pack provided on arrival. - Linen and towels are provided (not beach towels) - Meet and greet service available on request - extra charge - Fans are in all bedrooms with air conditioning available in the conservatory and kitchen / dining area. The use of the air conditioning is an additional cost. - Alan and Ruth (English couple living locally) look after the property and are contactable if required during your stay. They will meet you on arrival and answer any questions if required.
Conditions
- Upon making a booking a non refundable deposit of 25% is required within 7 days to secure it. - Reservation confirmed on receipt of deposit. - Balance to be paid in full 6 weeks prior to arrival date. - £175.00 refundable security deposit required with the balance. This is refunded within 1 week of departure follwing satisfactory inspection of the property. - Last minute bookings will require full payment prior to arrival.
