Stunning, historical apartment in the centre of Ostuni over looking the park with double height barrel vaulted ceilings, street facing balcony and 2 double bedrooms. The apartment is in an ideal central location, decorated in keeping with the historical ambience of the property but with a modern contemporary feel.
There is a large roof terrace with panoramic views over the sea, historical central Ostuni and the Park (Villa Communal). In the park there are a large selection of exotic vegetation, a cafe and a children's play area.
The apartment is in the old town of Ostuni, steps way from the many bars and restaurants surrounding the piazza. There is a huge market held in the new part of Ostuni town (bargains galore !) every Saturday morning and a very interesting antiques market held on the 2nd Sunday of every month around the outside of the Villa. The lovely Blue-Flag beaches along this coastline are just a few minutes drive away. There is a very helpful English lady who lives nearby who is always on hand with advice and tips on where to go and what to.

The Puglia/Molise region
Puglia is on the Heel of Italy. An area famous for its natural wildlife and beautiful villages full of Baroque churches and palazzi. Ostuni is often referred to as the White City and famous nearby neighbours include the medieval Castel del Monte and Alberobello ( both of whcih are World Heritage Sites of Puglia), Lecce, Locorotondo, Cisternino and Gallipoli. The Grotte di Castellana and the amazing Fasano Safari Zoo are only a stones throw away too.
Ostuni / Ostuni Centre area
Our nearest favourite white sand beach is Pilone II. From Ostuni town drive straight down to the coast and turn on to the highway in the direction of Bari. Look out for the signs for Pilone when you see signs for Rosa Marina. In the other direction towards Brindisi, a drive of around 10 minutes will bring you to Torre Guacato (at the “Serranova” turnoff). This is a WWF protected National Park with a stunning, totally unspoilt beach and nature walks / cycle paths behind it. This is by far our overall favourite beach in the region. For those who prefer to hang around in a trendy “Chill Out Bar” and dive from the rocks, there is “Jimmiz Bar” at Gorgonola Beach. Another trendy beach bar which also stays open into the night is "Quarto di Monte" on Monticelli Beach.
For more fun in the water, there is a swimming pool at the ”American Bar” (follow the road to the mini-roundabout at Villanova Port and turn left) or the water park called “In-Aqua” at Lamaforca Beach.
Puglia has some of the finest and best value foods and wines in the country. Wine shops (“Entoteca’s”) and supermarkets are stocked with top quality DOCG wines from around £2 per bottle and an 8-course starter (“antipasti” ) in a top restaurant will cost from around £4 ! Of all the many restaurants in and around the Centro Storico we have only ever found two that we DON’T highly rate (the “Locanda Dei Peccati” and the “Don Chisciotte”!).
However our favourite ones amongst the many others are ; 1. Osteria La Sparacima (Next to “Locanda Dei Peccati” mentioned above….don’t get confused !) 2. Osteria Piazzetta Cattedrale (Continue up road from the cathedral main doors, to the top end. It’s on the left. Rated in top 20 European restaurants by Guardian newspaper, but still cheap!) 3. How to get there
Ryan air fly direct to Brindisi and Bari from Stansted Airport. BA fly from Gatwick to Bari. From Brindisi to Ostuni is a 25 minute drive and from Bari a 45 minute drive.

Further details indoors: There is a large lounge incorporating a fully equipped kitchen and with original louvre doors leading on to a balcony with floor to ceiling windows. There are 2 double bedrooms leading off the lounge area and a large modern bathroom.
The kitchen contains all modern appliances ( including coffee maker) and there are spare adaptors, DVDs and books in the lounge area. A hairdryer and CD player are provided for your convenience.
Further details outdoors: The roof terrace is fully equipped with sun loungers, tables and sun shades. There is a variety of foliage including olive,lemon and jasmin on the terrace.

Welcome pack is provided on arrival. There is a friendly english-speaking representative on hand to meet and greet and provide any further information that guests may require. Smoking allowed in outside areas of the apartment. Refundable breakages deposit of £100 or E150 required on arrival, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection)

Keys to the apartment will be given to you by Pauline on arrival . We can arrange to post keys out to you in advance if required.
On the day you go please vacate the house by 14.00. Please return the keys by posting them back through Campenella letterbox or by arranging to return them to Pauline.
(If you want to check-out later this may be possible, please liase with Pauline regarding this arrangement – there will be a small charge for this facility of 25 euros)
Please leave any bed sheets that have been slept in, along with used towels in a pile on the floor next to the bed.
Breakages Deposit
If we have arranged to send you the keys 2 weeks before your stay we will be charging a deposit of £1OO Pounds or £150 Euros in advance which is refundable when Jane and has checked the house. We will send this by cheque or pay into your account what ever is best for you.
Payment - can be made by direct transfer into our account OR by cheque. Further details will be provided upon booking.
