Stunning, historical apartment in the centre of Ostuni over looking the park with double height barrel vaulted ceilings, street facing balcony and 2 double bedrooms. The apartment is in an ideal central location, decorated in keeping with the historical ambience of the property but with a modern contemporary feel.
There is access to private areas of a large roof terrace with panoramic views over the sea, historical central Ostuni and the Park (Villa Communal). In the park there are a large selection of exotic vegetation, a cafe and a children's play area.
The apartment is in the old town of Ostuni, steps way from the many bars and restaurants surrounding the piazza. There is a huge market held in the new part of Ostuni town (bargains galore !) every Saturday morning and a very interesting antiques market held on the 2nd Sunday of every month around the outside of the Villa.
The lovely Blue-Flag beaches along this coastline are just a few minutes drive away.
Jane our House Manager is a minefield of information on Ostuni and will be happy to advise you on the local area. Jane is a long time resident and will be there to meet and greet you upon arrival. Jane is fluent in both English and Italian.

There is a large lounge incorporating a fully equipped kitchen and with original louvre doors leading on to a balcony with floor to ceiling windows. There are 2 double bedrooms leading off the lounge area and a large modern bathroom.
The kitchen contains all modern appliances ( including coffee maker) and there are spare adaptors, DVDs and books in the lounge area. A hairdryer and CD player are provided for your convenience.
Recently we have replaced all terrace furniture and installed satellite TV with a flat sceen TV to make your stay even more comfortable.

The roof terrace has private areas and is fully equipped with sun loungers, tables and sun shades. There are plants on the terrace.
Jane is our friendly english-speaking representative on hand to meet and greet and provide any further information that guests may require.

The Puglia/Molise region
Puglia (or Apulia as it is often known to the English) is the Heel of Italy. An area famous for its peaceful, untouched and natural wildlife with villages full of Baroque and Romanic churches and palazzi. Ostuni is often referred to as the Jewel of Puglia and famous nearby neighbours include the medieval Castel del Monte and Alberobello (the two UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Puglia), Lecce, Locorotondo, Cisternino and Gallipoli. The Grotte di Castellana (Italy’s largest underground cave network – stunning !) and the fantastic Fasano Safari Zoo are only a short drive away too.
Our nearest favourite white sand beach is Pilone II. From Ostuni town drive straight down to the coast and turn on to the highway in the direction of Bari. Look out for the signs for Pilone when you see signs for Rosa Marina.
In the other direction towards Brindisi, a drive of around 10 minutes will bring you to Torre Guacato (at the “Serranova” turnoff). This is a WWF protected National Park with a stunning, totally unspoilt beach and nature walks / cycle paths behind it. This is by far our overall favourite beach in the region.
For those who prefer to hang around in a trendy “Chill Out Bar” and dive from the rocks, there is “Jimmiz Bar” at Gorgonola Beach. Another trendy beach bar which also stays open into the night is "Quarto di Monte" on Monticelli Beach.
For more fun in the water, there is a swimming pool at the ”American Bar” (follow the road to the mini-roundabout at Villanova Port and turn left) or the water park called “In-Aqua” at Lamaforca Beach.
Puglia has some of the finest and best value foods and wines in the country. Wine shops (“Entoteca’s”) and supermarkets are stocked with top quality DOCG wines from around £2 per bottle and an 8-course starter (“antipasti” ) in a top restaurant will cost from around £4 !
Of all the many restaurants in and around the Centro Storico we have only ever found two that we DON’T highly rate (the “Locanda Dei Peccati” and the “Don Chisciotte”!).
However our favourite ones amongst the many others are ;
1. Osteria La Sparacima (Next to “Locanda Dei Peccati” mentioned above….don’t get confused !)
2. Osteria Piazzetta Cattedrale (Continue up road from the cathedral main doors, to the top end. It’s on the left. Rated in top 20 European restaurants by Guardian newspaper, but still cheap!)
3. Al Solito Posto (Around the back of the cinema to the left of the Centro Storico)
4. L’Osteria Del Tempo Perso (Michelin Guide)

"Great apartment, excellent services and beautiful location!"
Together with 2 friends we stayed for a week in this apartment and had a great time. The apartments is very nice, has good services and the environment is very beautiful. Great restaurants where we have enjoyed the real Italian food. We went for great walks and site seeings. The market was fab and the view breathtaking. It was so nice that we have already booked again!

"Great location, charming apartment"
A charming apartment in the old town of Ostuni, conveniently located for the excellent food shops in the old town and the buzz of the main piazza, as well as being a short walk to the bigger stores of the new town.
The apartment was attractively decorated and well-equipped. The roof terrace was a fabulous place to relax and look out over the rooftops of Ostuni, as well as salivate at the smells of octopus barbequing at the excellent fish restaurant and job on the adjacent corner.
Our two year old daughter enjoyed the park just around from the house, particularly the kids play area and gelato at the park café.
As well as the charms of wandering about in Ostuni, the town makes a good base for day trips in the Puglia region.
