Trulli Scrumptious is a superb restoration of a typical Puglian Trullo – a traditional home built in a unique style with thick-stone whitewashed walls and conical beehive roofs. It is set in a beautiful rural location near San Michele Salentino, in three acres of olive groves. There are also various fruit trees, apple, plum, pear and fig, to name a few. You are welcome to sample their fruits when in season. It will sleep six comfortably, in three bedrooms, comprising one double with en-suite shower room, and two further bedrooms which can be either two single beds per room or a double bed in each room. There is a put-me-up bed for an extra person if needed. The living areas comprise a modern kitchen, with dishwasher and microwave, a dining room where eight people can sit comfortably. The lounge has sofa and comfortable chairs and a wood burning stove for the colder nights. All of the old part of the trullo has been restored showing the original stonework and various nooks and crannies. The bathrooms are new build and hence are clean and modern. Outside, there are seating and dining terraces under the pergola, which looks over the superb 12m pool, with solar heated spa pool at the shallow end. An outside bathroom with toilet, shower and basin is situated at the far end of the pool. A barbeque is available. There is also a pizza oven, if you fancy trying your hand at pizza making. The pool is open from May to October - and longer if weather permits.

The Puglia/Molise region
There are many places to visit for fascinating days out, including Lecce the Florence of the south, Matera, Alberobello the trulli town, Caste del Monte, Trani, fabulous grottoes and many other places. The hilltop mediaeval town of Locorotondo on the Murge plateau gives panoramic views of the surrounding Itria Valley.
The climate in June, July, August and September is hot, however the constant cooling breezes between the Adriatic and Ionian seas keep Trulli Scrumptious beautifully comfortable. May and October can also be beautiful with slightly more changeable weather. Even in November and December temperatures can reach 25C with beautiful clear skies.
Ostuni / San Michele Salentino area
San Michele Salentino is located approx. 13km to the South of Ostuni, within the province of Brindisi, it has a number of amenities within the local area. Golf near Ostuni Beutiful beaches on both the Adriatic and Ionian Seas, where you can swim or just sit and soak up the sun. The fishing village of Torre Canne has a long stretch of soft sand and shallow water for cooling off your toes after working on the tan. The sandy beaches, spring flowers and protected wildlife of Torre Guaceto nature reserve are only 30 mins away. Daily Markets in the local towns.
How to get there
Ryan Air operate out of London Stansted to Bari (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) or to Brindisi (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday). Hertz hire cars through the Ryanair website are very good value. London (Gatwick) to Bari on Thursdays and Saturdays British Airways. Easyjet, Alitalia and British Airways fly to Naples and Pescara about 3 hour's drive away. There are now numerous internal cheap Italian flights Volareweb, Alpi Eagles and Blue Express to Bari and Brindisi from many of the major Italian cities. Trulli Scrumptious is 1hour 15 minutes drive from Bari and 35 minutes from Brindisi. Full driving directions are given two weeks prior to arrival, our representative will meet you just outside San Michele Salentino, from there you can follow in your hire car to Trulli Scrumptious where the keys will be handed over to you.
