Our beautiful 3 bedroom villa is set in an acre of land boasting olive, fig, hazelnut, chestnut and an abundance of fruit trees. The villa is in the quiet and secluded district of Lamacoppa, just 3kms from the picturesque hillside town of Ostuni, known locally as the 'White City'.
The villa offers a good level of comfort for up to 6 people whilst retaining the charm and rustic features typical of the area. Outside there is a roof terrace, a covered veranda ideal for eating al-fresco style, a family sized BBQ and a traditional working pizza oven with a further outdoor table and chairs seating 6.
The villa has air-conditioning and heating throughout. Set in front of the villa is a 12m x 6m luxury swimming pool and jacuzzi, diving board and outside solar heated shower. New in 2013 is a poolside bar with fridge and freezer for the essentials, beer, wine and ice cream plus seating for 6.
In 2014 we also added a shade sail area next to the bar for relaxing out of the sun.

Villa Gemelli is located near to many beaches, some with bars and facilities, others with nothing but warm sea and sand. The nearest beach is a 15-20 min drive. It is important to understand that this side of Italy's coast line offers both small coves and bays as well as long stretches of beach.
The stunning town of Ostuni is 3km away and sits like a white beacon on 3 hills east of Martina Franca. The seemingly disordered tangle of narrow cobblestone streets recalls a North African Arab medina, an ideal place to get agreeably lost. There are a plethora of restaurants and bars just off the Piazza della Liberta, heading upwards towards the Sombre brown stone of the 15th century Gothic Cathedral.
The average daytime temperatures in July/August are about 32 degrees and a little less in June and September.
With two seas around three sides of the area, the air does not feel too oppressive during the summer months.
With sunshine for most of the year and olive groves which stretch along a beautiful coastline, it boasts one of the cleanest seas in Europe. Italians have long made it their favoured holiday destination and now with more cheap flights from the U.K. it is rapidly becoming a hot destination for gourmet travellers who are looking for something different to the more well known holiday destinations.
Visit oil and wine making Fattorias, see beautiful Greco-Roman cities and mysterious ancient Trulli. Enjoy wonderful local cuisine and rich strong wines which are becoming known throughout Europe.
A 25% non refundable deposit is payable within 7 days of booking with the remaining balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival. During the peak season, June - September, the changeover day is Saturday. We are flexible about this outside peak season. Arrival time will typically be 4pm and departure time 11am.
The Puglia region
Puglia, or Apullia as it is sometimes known, is the heel of Italy's boot and is bordered by two seas, the Adriatic to the East and the Ionian to the South. Italy's deep south is little known to foreign visitors but those that do visit are regarded with an unforgettable experience.
Uplifting natural beauty and a near tropical sea combine with the strange conical-roofed stone houses, the Trulli, unique to Puglia. The region is a food and wine-lover's paradise, no matter how hard you try, it is difficult to eat badly. A proportion of Italy's fish is caught off the Puglian coast and locally grown fruit and vegetables can be found on many a street corner. In addition Puglia has 23 D.O.C. wine regions, the best know being Salice Salentino.

"Wonderful, relaxing holiday"
Our family spent two very relaxing weeks at Villa Gemelli. The whole experience from initial booking right the way through to the end of our stay was brilliant, firstly with Steve and then his excellent team in Ostuni. The villa itself was well equipped and comfortable, but the outside space made the holiday. The pool, Steve's bar and grounds are fabulous. We also had great fun making our own pizza in the oven. A wonderful place that we would highly recommend.
Thank you very much for your kind review, I am really pleased you enjoyed your stay at Villa Gemelli. Maybe we can welcome you back again one day.

"A Fabulous Villa With Everything You Need And Much More"
On arrival we were greeted by an impressive welcome pack and the villa had everything we needed and more. The kitchen had plenty of crockery and utensils which were ideal for all the outdoor dining we did. The Pizza Oven was fabulous and we thoroughly enjoyed making the pizza's from scratch with our two children. We stayed for one week at Villa Gemelli and made our own pizza's on 3 evenings, had a BBQ on 2 occasions and dined out in the wonderful White City twice. Dining at the villa was truly a family affair and no-one was left slaving away over the cooker on their own as the outdoor dining facilities meant that you could cook and still be with the family. After a wonderful meal we’d head across the villa grounds to the cocktail bar where we would see out our evening under the stars and the lights of the pool – a great way to spend an evening ! The villa is set in large grounds in a peaceful location yet only 5 mins drive from the wonderful town of Ostuni. The large swimming pool was great for the kids, particularly the diving board which was a real novelty, and the quality of the loungers was as good as it gets. We enjoyed our trips to the White City with it’s quaint winding streets, the array of bars and restaurants as well as some wonderful shops. We travelled to Lecce and had a great day out and visited the local beaches as recommended by Steve & Jackie. A thoroughly great week was had by all !
Wow, thank you very much for spending the time to write such a fabulous review. We are really pleased that your enjoyed your stay at Villa Gemelli and it sounds like you really made the most of the facilities.

"Fantastic, well equipped villa in quiet area near Ostuni"
Warm welcome on arrival with an excellent Welcome pack. The villa has a large pool and bar area with ample sunloungers and seating for relaxing and eating al fresco. The kitchen is well equipped but there is also an outdoor pizza oven if you fancy having a go at making your own. Aircon is a great help when the temperature never seems to drop!
Thank you very much for your lovely review, we are really pleased that you enjoyed your stay.

"Great pool, garden & outdoor living space"
The house is in a lovely rural area just a few miles from Ostuni. The owner gave us brilliant directions and a lovely welcome pack. The interior of the house is quite tired and the kitchen very cluttered but the outside space is amazing with a lovely pool, pizza oven and bar area.
Thank you very much for reviewing Villa Gemelli, we are glad that you enjoyed your stay.

"A perfect chill holiday"
The villa was lovely, beautiful pool and lots of very comfortable pool furniture to sunbathe and relax. It is situated about 3 miles from Ostuni which is a great place to explore with lots of restaurants and bars. It's very rural so very quiet, we actually managed to sleep in longer than our daughters which was so unusual! An ideal place to escape from the world but also near enough if you want to go out to explore.
Thank you very much for reviewing your holiday, it is great to hear that you had a lovely time and managed to chill out:-) Steve and Jackie

"Lovely villa in a lovely area"
We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and amenity of the villa. The villa accommodation is compact but well-planned, and Villa Gemelli is well-equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. We had very warm weather, but the pool by day and air-conditioning by night worked a treat. The surrounding area is beautiful, and a very comprehensive guests reference book was provided by the owners, Steve and Jackie. We loved all the fruit and nut trees in the garden and sampling the local cuisine, and had great fun working the pizza oven. We would definitely consider staying here again.
Thanks for the review Ann, we are really pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Steve and Jackie.
