Villa Fredavera which is fully air-conditioned or heated is located mid-way between San Vito dei Normanni and Latiano. In the heel of Italy the property is only 14Km from the Adriatic beaches and 40Km from the Ionion beaches. The towns of Ostuni (The White City), Lecce (The Florence of the South) and Alberrobello (The Trulli Town, a World Heritage site) and Matera (World Heritage site) all the delights of Puglia are in easy reach. Golf course, zoo safari and amusement park are only 40km away. Otherwise just relax at the villa enjoying the large pool and gardens in your own luxury oasis amongst the olive trees surrounding the walled property.

The Puglia/Molise region

The region of Puglia is the heel of Italy well known for its wonderful food, wine and beautiful beaches. Being the South of Italy the climate is hot through the summer months from May through to October. The region has a stunning coastline and golden beaches, the area has a fasinating history giving the visitor an abundance of history left by the Greeks, Roman's, Normans and Spanish. Every town and city has its own story to tell and are all in easy reach from the villa.

Ostuni / San Vito dei Normanni area

San Vito dei Normanni is an all year round local town near Ostuni and Cariovigno where you can appreciate the local cuisine fish, meat and fresh pasta specialities and wines. During the summer months San Vito dei Normanni and the surrounding towns enjoy a series of local festivals celebrating local food specialities, music and fanfares. Weekly food markets provide the opportunity to sample the locally grown produce. The cost of living here is low compared with the north of Italy allowing the visitor to endulge in the excellent wines and local food.

How to get there

From the UK, budget airline Ryanair has flights from London Stansted to Brindisi and Bari airports and British Airways from London Gatwick, Alitalia from London Heathrow to Bari.
Ryanair can offer good rates with Hertz for car hire or you can use www.carhireforless.co.uk who can also provide competitive rates. Brindisi is 20 minutes travel time to the villa and Bari 60minutes.
Brindisi provides the ferry gateway to Greece and it's Islands and Bari provides the ferry gateway to the Adriatic ports.
Brindisi Railway station is linked with all major Italian cities you can use Trenitalia and Eurostar.

Recently furnished with large groundfloor living room with dining area with fireplace with a large Log burning fire, TV, DVD and CD, leading onto adjoining corridor to two double bedrooms with kingsize beds, newly fitted kitchen with dishwasher and a shower room with wc and bidet. Staircase and balcony leading to two twin bedrooms one with twin beds and one with bunk beds (which can be separated). Main living room and all bedrooms have air-conditioning units which also provide heating. An extra bed can be provided for £50 per week but this may compromise privacy. The second shower room is located outside on the groundfloor with wc.

Villa Fredavera is a south facing villa, from the veranda a short path leads you to the pool which is set in a large sun terrace area with 8 sun loungers, it is 11.5m in length and 5 m wide with its own solar heated shower. The depth is 1.2m with roman steps increasing to 2.4m at the deep end. A pergola with seating for 8 people has a large table and cooking facilities for al fresco cooking. Lawned grounds surround the sun terrace area. The villa's large terrace area also has a dining area for 8 people with easy access to the fully equipped kitchen and an outside wood burning pizza oven and barbecue. There is a large pine tree area which can provide a safe area for children to play away from the direct sun. The pool and gardens are fully illuminated for evening parties if desired.

Further details

Arrival time is 16.00pm but can be negociated on the discretion of the agent, departure time is 11.00am, or later at the discretion of the agent. We provide a meet and greet service and a welcome pack, also 6 bottles of water wine and beer. We request our guests to replenish the stock when leaving which adds to the enjoyment of staying at Villa Fredavera. Linen and towels are provided in the cost and if required a mid-week change this can be provided at an extra cost of 8 Euro's per person.

Air-conditioning units can also heat the property and are charged at a separate unit rate of consumption. A meter reading will be taken on occupation and at the end of the rental period and the units used charged at the local electricity suppliers rate. This can be payed separately or deducted from the security deposit at the clients discretion. Each bedroom has an individual fan which can be used at no extra charge.

The swimming pool is only available during the summer months May through to September/October.

Conditions

30% non-refundable booking fee to be payed at ime of booking.The remaining 70% payable 8 weeks prior to arrival. A security deposit of £200 to be made payable prior to arrival, this will be held and returned when the agent reports that the property has been checked and is OK on departure. We suggest you replace broken items before departure with the agreement of the agent. Non-breakable plates and beakers are provided for outside use to prevent unfortunate accidents around the pool area.

Strictly non-smoking inside the villa, it is allowed outside but if any damage occurs the deposit will be retained.
