Ostuni is a unique 12th Century town complete with its own winding streets, cobbled alleyways and white-splashed historic Baroque buildings - why not spend the evenings exploring the area’s history, bars and restaurants (which are always open till late!) which cater for all tastes and age groups and are still largely undiscovered by overseas visitors. With a Cathedral, several baroque and romanic churches, a great selection of friendly shops or the neighbouring towns you are spoilt for choice. Ostuni is a stunning town and has much to see and lots to do.

The region of Puglia (or Apulia as it is more commonly known to the English) is located in the the Heel of Italy. An area famous for its peaceful, untouched and natural wildlife, with villages and towns full of Baroque and Romanic churches and palazzi. Ostuni (the "white city" /citta blanca" ) is near the famous UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Puglia - the medieval Castel del Monte (Bari) and also Alberobello, where a great number of "trulli" may be found in the town The White Cones of the Puglia region - are curious, rounded structures with grey stone cone-shaped roofs. They are trulli, common in the province of Bari and Taranto, yet unknown in the rest of the world. The city Lecce, and the towns Locorotondo, Martina Franca and Gallipoli are also all a short drive away.
Ostuni / Ostuni Centre area

Saint Oronzo is the patron saint of the commune of Ostuni in the province of Brindisi in Puglia,on the south-east Italy coast. Each year a three day festival is held from the 25 August to 27 August to honour his name in Ostuni
