Whether you are looking for a romantic retreat to the picturesque Southern coast of Sweden, a child-friendly holiday home with plenty of space or just a hide-away from the rest of the world, Fiskarens Ro (the Fisherman's Peace) is just what you are looking for. Get a taste of laid back coastal living in this charming holiday home in one of the oldest fisherman's villages in Österlen – Örnahusen (the Houses of Eagles) on the south east coast of Sweden.

Beautiful wooden floors, airy rooms with white-washed walls and minimalistic but warm decor. Fisherman's Peace is a rustic characterful house filled with space and beautiful architecture.

Fisherman's Peace is a perfect retreat for a couple or a family seeking peace and tranquillity in the countryside, close to the sea. Enjoy blue skies with sunrises on the beach and long sunny days in summertime, whilst the darker months is a season to snuggle up, perhaps with someone you hold dear, by the fireplace with a glass of red.

Fisherman's Peace offers plenty of activities for kids. The spacious lawn is great for ball sports, exciting little grove for the adventurous, beaches and the sea a couple of minutes away to build sand-castles and for bathing.

At Fisherman's Peace, there are also bicycles available for adults and kids (two for adults and two for kids). Fisherman's Peace does not carry helmets, so please bring this along should you wish to go out on bicycling excursions (which is highly recommended).

The Gotaland region

Österlen is the southeastern part of the Swedish province of Scania. The name derives from its location 'east of the route' (ancient route from Ystad, heading north-east. The principal town of Österlen is Simrishamn. It's famous for beautiful nature, small towns, apple orchards, farmland and is a popular tourist attraction.

Osterlen

Our favorite places - There is so much to taste, do, see and experience at Österlen. Please visit our website for few ideas of our favorite places and a list of websites for further ideas.

Örnahusen's Farm Boutique

Only a stone's throw away of Fiskarens Ro the village farmer is putting out his fresh potatoes, carrots, parsnips apples, eggs and other delights for sale. The best produce to the kitchen at Fiskarens Ro.

Domän Sånana in Norrekås

Österlen is experiencing an increasing number of vineyards. Domän Sånana is located only a short walk from Fiskarens Ro. Domän Sånan offers guided tours of the vineyard and wine tasting. You may buy the wine at systembolaget in Simrishamn.

Skillinge Fiskimpex

Cook fish captured from the coast of Österlen. Bicycle or drive in to Skillinge to grab the catch of the day.

Medieval Castle of Glimmingehus

There is a tournament on not far from Fiskarens Ro at one of Scandinavia's oldest and best kept Medieval castles. Enjoy a guided tour of the castle and listen to gripping stories of the castle.

Bäverdalen (the valley of beavers)

It is actually called Forsemölla, but we re-named it when we were kids because the entire area is filled of deciduous forest and streams for beavers to play in (but as far as we know, there are no beavers there). Bäverdalen is a thrilling place for kids and adults. Bring a picnic basket and prepare for an adventure.

Ales Stenar in Kåseberga

An historical wonder from the Viking Age. A magnificent view. A short drive from Fiskarens Ro.

"A wonderful holiday home in a beautiful location."

This is a beautiful home in a picturesque area. The house is light and spacious with a traditional, but modern Scandinavian feel to it. There are a great deal of activities one can engage in either on… More
