The house is in the centre of the town which is a good starting point for visiting the famous Villas, gardens and quaint towns and villages along the lake. The owner of the property also offers sight-seeing boat trips for a cost of 100 euros per trip.
The area represents an idyllic location to indulge in a little dolce vita, cafe culture, boating, shopping, eating, relaxing and eating some more. The local market stops here in Ossuccio every week for all your fresh produce, the restaurants serve the freshest, regional cusine and the geletaria's here are justifiably proud of their world renowned home made icecream! If your batteries are in need of recharging and you are looking for a slower pace of life for a week or two Lake Como ticks all the right boxes.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area
Lake Como is a lake of glacial origin in Lombardy, Italy, which is some 47 km (30 miles) long north to south and is Europe's deepest lake at almost 1,350 feet.
The lake is known for its peculiar shape - a Y turned upside down which is due to its three branches, Colico, the northern branch, Lecco, the south east branch and Como, the south west branch.
The third largest lake in Italy, Lake Como is just half an hour from noisy, bustling Milan, a few minutes from the Swiss border and is an ideal venue for family holidays. It commands a striking position in a mountain landscape and its shores are dotted with picturesque villages, luxurious villas and parks.
An oasis of tranquility, Lake Como is the Italian equivalent of Beverley Hills and the list of people who've owned villas here includes George Clooney who has purchased a few properties here. Described by Wordsworth as ‘a treasure which the earth keeps to itself’, the Lake has long been famous for its appearance in the writings of such classical writers as Virgil, Pliny, and Claudian.
In the town of Como, the cathedral here is often cited as the best example of transitional architectural styles, the Piazza San Fedele has many 400-year-old buildings and the basilica is said to be one of the masterpieces of the masters of Como.
Ossuccio area
It is located in the lovely town of Ossuccio, one of the best starting points for mountain walks or boats trips on the lake, especially around the beautiful island of Isola Comacina, which you can explore by boat. Why not book a meal at the only restaurant on the island only 2 mins. away away by boat.
Ossuccio enjoys a sunny aspect on the west side of the lake and is ideally situated to visit all parts of the lake. The lake side garden here, in the heart of the village is just 10 minutes walk from your accommodation and is popular for sunbathing, enjoying a drink, sunbathing or taking a dip in the lake! Restaurants, bars and a bank can all be found in the village.
Lenno (Villa Balbianello-James Bond) with the water ferry accessing all parts of the lake is just 3 mins drive with supermarket.Villa Carlotta (Tremezzo) with it's majestic gardens is just a short drive and Bellagio is only a water taxi or ferry ride away!
Como city and Switzerland are just 1/2 an hour away and another 30 mins will take you to Milan or Monza for the formula 1 grand prix!

Cleaning Costs.
There is a final cleaning cost of €70 when staying for one week & €90 when staying for two weeks with all bed-linen & towels included. If staying for two weeks or more – the bed-linen & towels will be refreshed after each week. All utility usage such as water, electricity & gas, are included in the rental price.

To make a confirmed booking, you will be asked to fill in our booking form online and pay a 30% deposit. The remaining balance will then be due 6 weeks before arrival.
