Conte Pompeo is romantically set in a gorgeous country estate complete with fantastic views and full privacy. It is a charming restoration full of antiques, old stone walls and beams. Each individually decorated room has an en suite shower room with hydro massage jets. There is also a very large swimming pool, gym and jogging path.
You can choose to eat in a selection of beautiful and romantic settings from the ancient stone cantina and grotto to the restaurant in the hayloft to the beautiful patio where you can enjoy amazing sunset views. We work with the best slowfood cooks in the area to ensure that your culinary experience is fantastic. We also organize wine tastings and can advise you as to day trips and excursions.

The Umbria region
The stunning region of Umbria has a beautiful mild and dry steady climate. It is an ideal place to visit both during Summer and out of season. Steeped in a rich mixture of history and nature this region offers architectural beauties and numerous art museums as well as rolling hills, lakes, woods and rural charm.
Local events include the Umbrian Jazz Festival, Eurochocolate (the area is famous for cocoa based delights as well as wine, olive oil and truffles).
With so much to see and do, one holiday will not be enough!
Orvieto Bolsena / Allerona area
The ancient Hamlet of Allerona is a miniature perched medieval stone hamlet with breathtaking views. It has beautiful national parks including the WWF bird watching reserve of the lake of Alviano. Surrounded by nature there are goats to feed, woods to explore and horse riding trips. It is ideally placed on the A1 highway for trips out and Rome is only one hour and Florence an hour and a half away by train. The area is wonderful for children to explore and enjoy the miles of unspoilt landscape
Many of our guests take day trips out and we are happy to offer advice. Toscana and Lazio are nearby with some wonderful architecture and archeology. You can easily visit Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano and Cetona as well as the internationally known thermal spa of S. Casciano dei Bagni.
How to get there
We can pick up guests in Rome Airport (only one hour away) or you take the A1 highway exit in Orvieto or Fabro.

Further details outdoors: The farmhouse has 60 hectares around her and is next to a regional natural reserve. Ideal place for trekking, horseriding, relaxing and visiting 3 regions: Umbria, Tuscany and Lazio. Internal park of almost 2 hectares with jogging path entirely fenced. Huge swimming pool (19x9), fitness room. We are also a pet farm. We breed tiny and very friendly Tibetan goats.

Swimming pool available from 20th of may up to 20 of september. Owners living in a detached area of the farmholiday. We can pick up guests at the Rome Airports! Pets allowed upon request. We speak several languages and help local tourism so we can provide you with every information/map or brochure about Umbria. The property can be rentered on a self caterering base or you can take meals at our romantic restaurant overlooking the valley or at the swimming pool porch or at the ancient stone cantina where we can also give wine tastings. We can also provide maid service. We can rent on a bed and breakfast basis or self catered apartments or full unit (up to 21 persons!) We are open to our guests requests......................................in fact we have plenty of guests who come to visit many times and send friends or family!
Conditions
Half amount of the location in advance, the other half one month prior your arrival. Drinks, meals, dryer and washer, other facilities paybale locally. We will send you a mail confirming your booking as soon as we receive half of the payment required.

The owner's weekend rates apply to: Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights
NB: Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion. Discounts for stays of 2 weeks or more. We are open to long stays! Same price all year around, all inclusive, heating..............ecc. Half amount of the rental at the time of booking, the other half one month prior your arrival. We'll send you receipt of your payment by mail. Due to the high level decoration, we ask to deposit at your arrival the sum of 300 euros. Of course this sum will be returned to you when you leave if no damage occurs. We got plenty of advices from Marina on where to go and where to eat but it was also wonderful to stay at the country house among that wonderful nature, eat at their faboulous restaurant or go and feed the smart tiny little goats of the farmholiday! We also went visiting Toscana with Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano, very close to the property! Ideal location, a real paradise! We will be back soon! We were at the property in early august and we desperately needed relax! We really found it!!!! The owners were just fantastic and very discreet! We enjoyed everything but as it was very hot we mostly stayed at the gorgeous swimming pool and also ate there! Wines were always excellent and the food too!! The panorama was unbelievable!
