The Cabaña (self-catering)
The building originates from the 15th century.
We have restored it and converted it into a rustic apartment, using mainly natural materials.
The stone walls are up to one meter thick and the roof is made of traditional black fish scale slate from a local mine.
The wood used is chestnut (which grows locally)and eucalyptus and the wooden ceilings are all exposed.
It sleeps 2 with the option of an extra bed.
The Cabaña is completely open plan on three levels.
The bathroom and sitting area are on the bottom floor (TV, DVD player, DVD library and books are available), the kitchen and dining area on the middle floor and the bedroom is on the top floor (mezzanine floor).
It has a small, sheltered private garden with garden furniture and a BBQ, and guests can also use the communal terrace and garden with its amazing views on the other side of the property.
The finca is part of a small hamlet and consists of a main house, the cottage and a 10.000 square meter smallholding (small veggie patch, horse paddocks, chicken pen etc.)
It takes only 10 minutes by car to get into town and to the beach (blue flag beach).

The Galicia region
Galicia´s coast has a great number of firth -like inlets, estuaries and many capes.
It boosts with spectacular, wild landscapes, an amazing amount of beautiful tropical looking, deserted beaches and quaint picturesque fishing villages.
The interior is composed of relatively low mountains covered with lush green vegetation, many rivers and small dwellings with houses build of stones and with slate roofs.
Galicia is off the beaten track and uncrowded, is abundance in history, like for example the St. James Way and interesting culture due to the regions celtic roots. Galicia has little tourism compared to the crowded Mediterranean, and 90% of the tourists coming to this region are Spaniards.
It has fantastic seafood and as a destination is more economical than the rest of Spain.
