Close to local airports of Valencia, Reus and only 3 hours away from Barcelona and Alicante on the stretch of coastline known locally as the 'orange blossom coast'. Ideal for the local Festivals such as the Benicassim FIB festival in July.
A very 'Spanish' area of Spain (Espana), Oropesa del mar, on the east coast is situated between the two cultural giants of Valencia and Barcelona, a phrase book is a handy companion as this is a world away from 'Benidorm' and its prevelance of 'English' pubs and bars! Although a short ride away is the very pretty and peaceful towns of Peniscola and Alcossebre where a little more English language is spoken, but having little of the activities offered here at the Marina D'Or Holiday Resort and Spa.

Markets, shops and the outdoor beach style life is not unique to the area but is a delight to be amongst, where you can create a get away from it all attitude and still be able to enjoy and join in the local fun. There are many towns and villages within short driving distances to create a holiday adventure you will always remember. With over 300 days of beautiful sunshine here on the 'orange-blossom coast' you are never far away from the lovely warm sunshine with average temperatures in summer around the 30 degree mark and in winter a chilly (for the spanish who have thin blood!) 10 degrees. Obviously we get the odd bad week where the temperature will drop to 5 degrees but it is the picturesque view of the snow
Oropesa del Mar / Marina d'Or area

Nearest Airport currently Valencia serviced by Ryanair and Easy Jet. Approx. 55mins drive to apartment up the AP7. Barcelona Reus Airport is only 1 and a half hours drive down the AP7 to the apartment. Barcelona Airport is approx 2 and a half hours drive down the AP7 to the apartment. Castellon Airport is due to be operational in Sept 2009 and is only 25km away. Car Hire available at all airports through Europcar, Auriga Crown, SolMar, Hertz, try Car-jet.co.uk.

Two adventure parks, one for up to 8yrs and one for teenagers. For the adults there is a huge salt water Spa facility at the 5* star hotel, along with many bars and a few night clubs.

Swimming pool is currently only open July to Sept. but looking to extend this. Welcome packs can be pre-arranged. We can arrange airport pick ups for people who do not want to drive, or there is a train from the airport to within 2km of resort. No pets, no smoking indoors, no parties of more than 4 adults and 1 small child.
