About the home

Two bedroomed modern property located minutes from the long sandy beach and water sport facilities, nearby supermarket to take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen. Hydro 3/4 size bath, and Sofa that converts to an extra bed. Sometimes the apartment next door can be rented for larger groups by request.On site adventure parks for toddlers to teenagers, with luxury indoor and outdoor spa facilities for the adults. Eat and drink outside on the sunny south facing balcony. Swimming Pool and Toddler Pool on site, open June-Sept. Fantastic waterpark only 10km away.
Many places of interest to visit up and down the coast or just a short distance inland.

Large shared swimming pool for fun after the beach, with shallow kids pool to the side. Seats and permanent umbrellas for shade. Lovely maintained gardens, with swings and slides for youngsters. Short walk to the beach takes you through tropical gardens and play areas, to an open area terrace with dancing and entertainment till midnight in high season. Two adventure parks, one for up to 8yrs and one for teenagers.
For the adults there is a huge salt water Spa facility at the 5* star hotel, along with many bars and a few night clubs.

We can arrange airport pick ups for people who do not want to drive, or there is a train from the airport to within 2km of resort.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Costa del Azahar region

Situated near the picturesque village of Oropesa del mar is the fantastic Marina D'Or Holiday Resort, featuring two Theme parks for the children and also Europes' Largest saltwater Spa for your relaxation..

Close to local airports of Valencia, Reus and only 3 hours away from Barcelona and Alicante on the stretch of coastline known locally as the 'orange blossom coast'. Ideal for the local Festivals such as the Benicassim FIB festival in July.

A very 'Spanish' area of Spain (Espana), Oropesa del mar, on the east coast is situated between the two cultural giants of Valencia and Barcelona, a phrase book is a handy companion as this is a world away from 'Benidorm' and its prevelance of 'English' pubs and bars! Although a short ride away is the very pretty and peaceful towns of Peniscola and Alcossebre where a little more English language is spoken, but having little of the activities offered here at the Marina D'Or Holiday Resort and Spa.

Sun, Sea, Sand and ...Sangria is the Ideal way to describe a Holiday here, lots to do for the children in the Summer and also lots to do for the adults too! watersports galore on the fantastic beaches and the Two Theme parks for the Children, we think we have the Ideal place for Family Holidays. In fact by summer 2012 there will be a waterpark on-site too! as well as the easily reachable Aquarama waterpark in Benicassim, and with plans for a Pirate themed crazy Golf course shortly there will soon be an over indulgence of things to do for young and old!

Markets, shops and the outdoor beach style life is not unique to the area but is a delight to be amongst, where you can create a get away from it all attitude and still be able to enjoy and join in the local fun. There are many towns and villages within short driving distances to create a holiday adventure you will always remember. With over 300 days of beautiful sunshine here on the 'orange-blossom coast' you are never far away from the lovely warm sunshine with average temperatures in summer around the 30 degree mark and in winter a chilly (for the spanish who have thin blood!) 10 degrees. Obviously we get the odd bad week where the temperature will drop to 5 degrees but it is the picturesque view of the snow

The Oropesa del Mar / Marina d'Or area

Oropesa meets all the requirements of a first-class tourist destination. It is situated near Castellon (22 km) and within the Prat de Cabanes-Torreblanca Park and Oropesa mountain range and favours good weather all year round. Here the Mediterranean is crystal clear, with fine sand beaches and whimsical coves.
The Marina d'Or Gardens, located just beside the sea, are a real luxury for the senses.
They contain exotic vegetation from five continents and over 100,000m2 of green and landscaped areas for you to take healthy walks.

Enjoy the surroundings of plants, trees, springs, ponds, fish and sculptures, and relax in the cafeteria. The Gardens have a playground specially equipped for children, so everyone can have a good time.

Nearest Airport currently Valencia serviced by Ryanair and Easy Jet. Approx. 55mins drive to apartment up the AP7.
Barcelona Reus Airport is only 1 and a half hours drive down the AP7 to the apartment.
