Amenities are within walking distance, including supermarkets, an excellent bakery, tavernas, pubs, takeaways, DVD, bicycle hire, pharmacy and medical centre.
Local sandy beaches are safe for children; the nearest public beach is 5-minutes drive away and has a restaurant and children's play equipment as well as sun loungers and parasols.
Further afield, Larnaca is a 10 minute drive away, with a wide range of shops, restaurants, marina and leisure activities. Ayia Napa is approximately 25 minutes and the capital Nicosia is 40 mins. There are a number of blue flag beaches within 10 minutes walking distance or a few minutes drive.

The delightful soft sandy beaches of Golden Bay are just a 5-minute drive from the property, where the safe shallow Mediterranean waters are ideal for children. Water sports on the beach include para-gliding, wind surfing and banana boats.
Larnaca town centre is just 10-minutes away by car, with its stunning promenade leading to a large marina offering a wide variety of boat / sailing trips. The promenade also boasts a range of cosmopolitan restaurants and bars looking out onto the beach. Larnaca has an extensive array of shops and boutiques for all tastes including some British High Street Outlets.
A visit to the Sunday Market on the Dekelia Road is an excellent way to spend the morning browsing the local products and getting a bargain or two to take back with you!!! Larnaca has plenty of historical sites well worth a exploring.
Oroklini / Oroklini Village area
Oroklini is a beautiful and friendly traditional Cypriot village. Within a short walking distance the village includes 24-hour bakeries, supermarkets, a bank, a chemist, an animal range with horse and donkey rides and go-karting. There are a large variety of fine tavernas and bars.
A 5-minute drive away you will discover beaches which have been accredited with the internationally-recognised Blue Flag Award. Oroklini village boasts a selection of good restaurants and tavernas offering traditional Cypriot cuisine and European dishes.
How to get there
Low Cost Flights to Larnaca are available via Monarch, Globespan, Thomson Fly as well as Charter Flights via most Tour Operators. Booking well in advance and being flexible on times secures the cheapest deals. Oroklini is a 15Minute drive from the Airport and is extremely easy to find. It is worth noting that Cyprus roads are left hand drive as in the UK and all major road signs are in English as well as Greek.
Car Hire is easily arranged in advance for collection direct from the Airport terminal - recommended providers include www.cyprus-car-rentals.net and www.easycar.com however many others are available.
Taxi's are also available from Larnaca Airport however Car Hire is highly recommended.
