Amenities are within walking distance, including 2 supermarkets, an excellent bakery (Pirillos), tavernas, pubs, takeaways, DVD and bicycle hire, pharmacy and medical centre. Further afield, Larnaca is a 10 minute drive away, with a wide range of shops, restaurants, marina and leisure activities. Ayia Napa is approximately 25 minutes, Nicosia is 40 mins, and the Troodhos Mountains can be reached in just under an hour.

The property is a ground floor apartment which has a covered allocated parking space 5 metres from the front door. To the rear is an elevated balcony/terrace accessible from the lounge area which is not overlooked allowing private alfresco dining.
There are also 2 sun loungers, a parasol and stand available for your use by the pool or on the balcony.
The Larnaca region
Larnaca is one of the oldest cities in Cyprus with history but yet has a modern side to it. The seafront of Larnaca with its line of mature palm trees (“Phinikoudes”) is a relaxing leisurely attraction. Bars, cafes and restaurants offering local produce and a variety of world cuisine are located along the Promenade, and you will also find a superb selection of designer and local shops as well.
For beach lovers a range of water activities including diving, fishing and sailing are available locally, as well as the more familiar tourist facilities (Jetskis, Paragliding and Water Skiing). For youngsters of all ages there is a waterpark and Fun Fair in Ayia Napa as well as a multitude of Night Clubs.
For those after some culture there are a wide selection of historic sites in driving distance, including Kourion, Kolossi, The Baths of Aphrodite, The Tombs of the Kings, and much much more. If you are more interested in recent history, a visit to Nicosia and the 'infamous' Green Line is a must, then following the line to the coast and the 'Ghost Town' of Famagusta. Or you can explore the beautiful natural landscapes the area has to offer by foot, bicycle, horse or jeep.
The Oroklini area
Oroklini village is situated 15 minutes from Larnaca airport and only a short walk away from the local shops, restaurants and beaches.
Set against a mountain backdrop yet only moments from the beach, Oroklini boasts stunning scenery, a traditional Cypriot village character yet easily accessible modern facilities.
Oroklini offers tranquility away from the hustle and bustle, but has all the amenities you might require for a self sufficient break. It is close to a number of sandy beaches which now proudly have the international Blue Flag award and a spectacular mountain backdrop which offers magnificent views as far as Famagusta on a clear day.

British Airways & Cyprus Airways run daily direct flights to Larnaca, however it is well worth searching other companies such as Aegean, Monarch, Easyjet & Thomson for the best deals. We have found that by booking well in advance and being flexible about times, flights have been secured at excellent rates.
Oroklini Village is well connected to all major destinations, situated just 10 minutes drive from the historic city of Larnaca – famed for its palm tree lined promenade - the airport is only a 15 minute ride away, 40 minutes brings you to the capital Nicosia and just 25 minutes delivers you to the world-renown beaches and night life of Agia Napa and Protaras. Oroklini really is a superb base to explore the island at your leisure.
Car Hire can be arranged in advance and we will be happy to offer suggestions on the best value companies in the area. Cyprus traffic drives on the left, the roads for major towns are well maintained, and signposted in Greek & English.

This is a truly wonderful apartment to stay in.
It is very modern and clean,with a home from home feel,and easy access to all area's of the island.

The Kirby's apartment is perfect for a break away with all the mod cons and home comforts. The apartment is ground floor, south facing and has a superbly sized balcony which gets sun soaked from early morning to mid/late afternoon. there is a nice wide shower, fitted wardrobes so plenty of storage and a nice sized fridge/freezer. It's spacious, clean and well stocked with all the equipment you could need for cooking but with so many good eateries within a 5-10 minutes drive (30 minute walk) you may not want to break out the frying pan! Ideally suited in the village of Orklini (although its more like a small town!) there are a great selection of bars and eateries nearby and a supermarket for all you grocery needs but the real treat is that less than a 2 minute walk from the appartment is Prillos bakery - its like willy wonka's chocolate factory..... but with cakes - and its open 24 hours!
Less than 15 minutes drive to the west is city of Larnaca with the Finegoudes sea front where there are outlets aplenty for the tourist including Macdonalds, KFC, Starbucks etc but not much farther in from the coast is the old town with all its traditional cypriot charm. frim the apartment, its a short drive (30 minutes or so) to the east and you're in Aiya Napa and Nissi Beach which is well worth a visit. 45 minutes inland and you're in Nicosia, the islands capital. a little bit like London with shops and bars but some real interesting historical bits too. all in all. the apartment is perfect as a base to explore the Island and we will definately be booking up again next year!
