The Larnaca District
In the area of Larnaca there are lots of places of interest to go and visit. In Larnaca itself there is the 9th Century Byzantine Church of St Lazarus, Hala Sultan Tekesi - important place of Muslem pilgrimage after Mecca. Larnaca Salt Lake - during the winter months it fills with water and is visited by flocks of flamingo's, Larnaca Fort, Camel Park. At the Marina boat trips can be booked for fishing trips, pleasure and for scuba diving. Ten pin bowling and go karting is also in close proximity of the apartment. A Sunday market is along the Dekalia Road and in the main shopping area of Larnaca a fruit and veg market on Saturday. A drive away is Stavrovouni Monestry, Basilica Kourion, The Ancient Amathous, Aphrodite's Rock, Lefkara and at Ayia Napa and Limassol are the waterparks. There are some fabulous bays and beaches all within a short drive. Troodus Mountains and Nicosia are all within one hour. A day out at the Vikla Golf and Country Club near (Limassol) can be enjoyed by all the family. Here it has an 18 hole golf course plus swimming pool and children's golf/pool games. Bar and snacks are available. Skiing can be enjoyed from January to March on the Troodos Mountain. The Cyprus Ski Club owns four ski lifts and organises several contests, the Ski Club also provides professional instructors for beginners as well as the necessary ski equipment. In March the climate of Cyprus allows you to enjoy skiing in the morning and in the afternoon you can take part in water sports or swimming.
There are hiking trails of varying levels of difficulty throughout the country with the most extensive network found in the delightful Troodos Mountains.
Oroklini / Palm Beach Area
A 10min drive from Larnaca airport brings you to the apartment which is situated on the Dekalhia Road between Larnaca town and the tourist area. The apartment is within walking distance of small local supermarkets, bars and taverna's. The main tourist area is a 10min walk where there are further bars, restaurants, hotels, water sports and other amenities. A 7min drive will bring you to the marina known as Phinikoudes which is a picturesque palm lined promenade which has an abundance of restaurants and bars on one side of the road and on the other a sandy beach. Behind the marina are a good selection of shops in which you can buy designer labels to Cypriot mementos. The apartment is within easy access of the main motorway and is centrally positioned to areas for touring such as Troodos Mountains, Ayia Napa, Limasol, Nicosia and Pathos which are all in easy reach.

The complex is one of 13 two floor privately owned apartments, which are generally used by the owners friends or relatives. Relaxing and sunbathing can be undertaken on your own private patio area on the grass or on the beach which can resemble your own private beach area. The water is clear and generally calm. A short walk along the beach will bring you to where the water sports are situated, here their are further activities eg volley ball. As you walk along you pass beach bars where a cocktail or two can be enjoyed. In the evening a BBQ can be enjoyed on the patio whilst watching the sunset and listening to the lashing of the sea. Various DVDs are available, board games and books are kept at the apartment to help you enjoy your stay.
Further details outdoors: The patio has table and chairs which allows for 6 and 4 sun loungers with cushions. The dining area of the patio area has a sun canopy to protect and shield from the sun. Enabling you to eat or have BBQ in the shade.
