Apartment | 1 bedrooms | sleeps 4
Situated in the traditional Greek Cypriot village of Oroklini just 20 minutes from Larnaca airport and a five minute drive to the beach.
The apartment is right on the edge of the village giving an uninterupted view to the coast yet it is only a seven minute walk to the village centre. There you will find a well stocked supermarket, at least five very good tavernas, a couple of quiet bars, a bank, a pharmacy and two bakeries which stay open until very late!
Nearby activities include a tenpin bowling centre as well as all the usual water sports at the beach. Larnaca town centre is 10-15 minutes drive away which has a wide range of shops, restaurants, clubs, bar and various entertainment facilities.
This superbly appointed one-bedroomed apartment which sleeps 4 people was completed in May 2006.
The apartment is on the first floor of this showcase development, 'Mediterranean Sunrise', built to high standard and exacting specification. There is a lift to all floors of the three-storey block. There is a designated parking space on the ground floor.
The balcony has a beautiful uninterrupted view towards the coast across open countryside and olive groves to the blue Mediterranean !
Start the day with breakfast on the balcony, in the Cyprus sunshine.....
Then later, imagine yourself relaxing in the quiet of the evening, glass of wine in hand...
If you have visited Cyprus before, you will always return....if this is your first visit, prepare to fall in love with this special place!
Cool off in the fantastic feature pool!
You will love the pool and the sun-lounging area - just right for making sure you go home with the best suntan!
There are two feature pools for exclusive use of residents.
The larger, deeper pool has a superb rock and waterfall feature. There is a bridge separating the deeper pool from the shallower one [this is ideal for children - 18 inches deep].
There is also a whirlpool/jacuzzi beside the main pool and ornamental flower gardens complement the area well.
It feels completely private in the pool area, as it is entirely enclosed.
There are separate male and female showers, toilets and changing rooms situated beside the pool.
Sun loungers are provided around the pool. At night, the pool looks fantastic when it is floodlit underwater.
The apartment has an open-plan air-conditioned lounge with a fully-equipped kitchen at one end.
Includes: fridge-freezer, washing machine, electric oven, electric hob, extractor hood, microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery, glasses, cutlery, cooking utensils, mini vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board, cleaning utensils, folding clothes airer & pegs.
The lounge has triple sliding doors opening on to the spacious balcony. It is furnished in traditional style with restful colours and ethnic touches.
There are two very comfortable armchairs and a matching three-seater settee which converts into a double bed.
There is a satelite TV (free-to-air), wi-fi and DVD player as well as a portable radio/CD player.
Wall mounted electric heater and halogen heater.
On the balcony is a rectangular table and four chairs with cushions.
The air-conditioned bedroom has two single beds. Wall mounted electric heater.
Again, in traditional style, locally made Cypriot furniture has been used.

The Larnaca region
Some interesting ancient architectural sites in and around the town. Good walking tour around the oldest part of the town, the Turkish quarter.
Nice pedestrianised seafront promenade which is great for sitting with a meal or a coffee and just people watching.
Midway between the town and the airport is McKenzie Beach, a good beach lined with some nice restaurants.
Oroklini, or Voroklini to give it its correct Greek name, covers two different but very distinct areas. There is an area along the coast road which has some good beaches (nice sand, shallow water without hidden rocks on which to stub your toes). Plenty of water sports on this coastal strip. A couple of good 3 and 4 star hotels and the coastal road lined with shops and restaurants.
A mile or so inland is the Oroklini village. Built on the lower slopes of a raised area it is a mix of newish buildings between the village and the coast but with traditional old village houses towards the top of the town at the foot of the hill which overlooks the village. A couple of old interesting churches, one in the village and one perched at the top of the steep hill.
The village has most of the shops that any tourist would wish for - minimarkets (one open 24 hours), tempting bakeries, again open 24 hours, tavernas, a few quiet bars, bank, pharmacy, DVD hire shop, health centre, take away food shops, etc.
There is a tenpin bowling centre at Pyla - a five minute drive from Oroklini.
2 or 3 minutes drive to the motorwat linking Larnaca with Ayia Napa and Protaras (30 - 40 mins drive) and the island capital, Nicosia, about 45 mins away.
The British NATO base of Dhekelia is a ten minute drive away where restaurant and beach facilities are open to visitors.
