This spacious, luxury villa is beautifully finished, furnished and equipped to a high standard. There are open hillside views to the rear and the villa has its own private pool which is not directly overlooked. Situated on a small, select development in an idyllic setting, bordered by eucalyptus trees, within the backdrop of the Oroklini Hills and stunning countryside. This safe, quiet, cul-de-sac location is particularly suitable for families.
The large, comfortable, open plan living room has a NEW satellite TV, CD / Radio plus DVD player and two double aspect patio doors leading to the pool area . There is a fully equipped spacious kitchen / dining area with a large, extendable table. Although Cyprus has a low crime rate, we have provided a safe for any valuable items. There is no charge for use of the safe.
A feature marble staircase leads upstairs. The master bedroom has a king size bed and en suite shower / WC. Adjacent is a large veranda. The second twin bedroom has a front facing balcony. Patio doors lead directly onto the patio / pool area from a third twin bedroom on the ground floor. Here there is a foldaway bed available for an extra guest. We also provide a cot at no extra charge. There is a family bathroom upstairs and a separate downstairs WC.

The Larnaca region
Cyprus has something for everyone: spectacular scenery, historic, archaelogical treasures and ancient monuments dating back 9,000 years. During its long history the Romans, Byzantines, Greeks and British have all left their mark. Inland, explore the wild Troodos Mountains with pine scented slopes, ancient monasteries and sleepy untouched villages. In contrast, the main resorts can buzz with life into the small hours. Choose from lively clubs, romantic tavernas or beachside restaurants serving fresh seafood. Experience the famous Cypriot hospitality and the sunsets.
In the day, enjoy a wide variety of sports and activities or head for the superb golden beaches to simply relax in the sun! Cyprus experiences warm, dry conditions most of the year . With hot summers, short mild winters and over 340 days of sunshine each year, it is the warmest, driest island in the Mediterranean.
Larnaca, with its marina, palm-lined waterfront promenade, children's play areas, restaurants, bars and bustling nightlife is 10 minutes drive from Oroklini village The town has excellent shopping with a comprehensive range of shops from well known brand stores to craft and gift shops and a colourful market.
The Oroklini area
Oroklini village extends several kilometres from the sea inland towards the Oroklini Hills. A pretty village, it has locally all amenties: supermarkets, bakeries, banks, chemists, hairdressers and also its famous, traditional, award winning tavernas. Life here is easy going and the local people are ready to greet every visitor with their traditional hospitality.
The coastline, with its golden, sandy beaches, is home to a number of four star hotels and a wide selection of international and traditional restaurants as well as internet cafes.. Here there is bowling and a variety of water sports, including scuba diving with one of the best shipwrecks just off Larnaca bay. Cycling is also popular and there are excellent walks. Close by, Dhekelia has horse riding and a small golf club. There is an excellent water park at Ayia Napa which is only a 20 minute drive. Further afield, the Troodos mountains are good for winter skiing.
The Oroklini festival, a well established annual event, takes place on the first Friday and Saturday evening of September on the Oroklini seafront. It includes theatrical performances, concerts, Cypriot folk dancing, music and barbecues. The festival reflects historic and cultural traditions, promoting friendship amongst locals and visitors alike. Not to be missed!

Larnaca International Airport is 20 minutes drive by car or by taxi
Recommended Airline - Cyprus Airways, Monarch, Olympic, Thomson Fly, Thomas Cook,
English meet and greet service at the villa. We email clear directions to you from either Larnaca or Paphos airport and can also give you the contact details of a reliable local car hire company which we always use. They will deliver to the airport or to our villa. As in the UK, driving is on the left.
We would recommend hiring a car to maximise your Cyprus experience, although there is a bus service from Oroklini to Larnaca, Ayia Napa etc.
There are excellent road connections to the whole island. Nicosia is half an hour away and so are Protaras and Ayia Napa with its excellent water park. The Troodos Mountains are an hour away and Paphos, on the west coast, just over an hour.

We had a lovely enjoyable stay at the Villa Avrio. Well equipped with everything you could possibly need for self catering this place is really home from home. Prior to our stay the owners were all too happy to answer any queries we had. On our arrival we found the Villa to be spotlessly clean and well kept, the only thing we did not get a chance to enjoy was the pool, the lovely upper veranda and the chance to use the BBQ due to the time of year we came. No need to worry about coming in the winter months as the villa is well equipped with heating via air con units and we were provided with blankets. The Villa is located in a quiet cul de sac and it is only a 10 - 15min walk to the village. The village has everything one would need supermarkets, bars, bakery's and restaurants etc. The supermarkets were reasonably priced but if you would like a larger supermarket there is a Lidls on the Dekhelia road on the way into Larnaca. Car hire is a definite must and the owners recommended Stevens car hire we used them for the first time and we found them to be soo efficient and reasonable we would not use any other company in future. We have no reservations in recommending this place to anyone and we look forward to our next visit to the wonderful Villa Avrio and enjoy all the things we missed!

In communications with our guests, we always say if they “have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask”. So guests are well informed, we also email our brochure. It contains general information about Cyprus and Larnaca. This includes the weather and temperatures which average min 9 and max 17 degrees in February – so quite like spring in the UK, but a bit cool to use the pool! Of course, the brochure also gives more specific information about the local area, Oroklini village and the villa itself. In addition, there is an information brochure at the villa. Although there are buses into Larnaca, we always recommend hiring a car to make the most of the good road links to explore further afield. We have used Stevens car hire ourselves for 7 years without any problems and provide their contact details on request.
Our Villa Avrio is our home from home and we holiday there ourselves. We look forward to welcoming you there again in the not too distant future!
