Home description

Whether you are looking for fun or relaxation, our holiday home is ideal for you. It is situated on a new, desirable community in a quiet position, yet is only 8 miles from Disney and within easy reach of all the Central Florida theme parks, shopping and golf. There are plenty of nearby services including restaurants and supermarkets with numerous golf courses in the area.

With four bedrooms, two bathrooms, two separate living areas, a games room with pool, table tennis and electronic darts and a laundry room, Près du Lac, sleeps up to 11 guests. There is cable TV in each bedroom, as well as in the family room. There are 2 DVD players and CD.

Our holiday home offers something for everybody including extended family groups and smaller parties who may wish to enjoy the space and relaxing surroundings. Relax by the pool and spa, which overlook the lake, or look out for the variety of wildlife including herons, turtles , armadillos and sand cranes.

The Florida / Orlando Disney Area

When you think of Orlando, Florida, you think of Walt Disney World and the other theme parks. Our villa is well situated to reach all the theme parks. However Central Florida has much more to offer and the sub-tropical climate has made Orlando a destination to be enjoyed all year round with many attractions and activities in the immediate area.

Florida is rightly known as the sunshine state. The average temperatures for Orlando range from:

January 72 °F (22°C) (high) 50°F (10°C) (low)
July and August 92 °F (33°C) (high) 73°F (22°C) (low)

Visit the Gulf Coast for places such as Tampa, Busch Gardens, St Petersburg and Clearwater and the Space Coast for Daytona Beach, Cocoa Beach and Kennedy Space Centre.

Orlando / Sunrise Lakes area

The theme parks include Walt Disney World (Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, MGM, Epcot, Downtown Disney) Universal Studies, SeaWorld, and Wet ‘n Wild.

In addition, the area offers something for everybody including golf, tennis, riding, scuba diving, shows, air boat rides, and water skiing. Lake Louisa State Park a few miles away offering activities such as walking, swimming in the lake (Memorial day to Labor Day), canoeing and kayaking and fishing. Also visit the town of Clermont which has a slower pace than Orlando.

How to get there

Fly to Orlando International Airport - Près du Lac is about 35-40 minutes drive
Virgin or BA direct flights from the UK or go via US based airlines usually with one stop

Alternatively fly to Sanford (65 minutes) or Tampa (75 minutes)

The living/dining room is furnished with comfortable, quality furnishings, which include a large sofa, love-seat and chair, with a dining table and chairs, perfect for more formal dining. The additional family room includes a ceiling-fan, two large leather sofas, plus occasional and coffee tables with lamps, and a media niche with cable TV, DVD player and a stereo system.

Wake up to views of the lake and step straight onto the pool deck from the master bedroom. This large bedroom has a queen-size bed, ceiling fan, cable TV, armoire and nightstands with a telephone, plus an en-suite bathroom, with double mirrored vanity unit, toilet and a bath with separate shower.

The second bedroom enjoys a queen-size bed, ceiling fan, nightstands and a cable TV, and shares a family bathroom with a double mirrored vanity unit, bath/shower and toilet.

A third bedroom has a "Pyramid" bunk (double below and single on top). It includes cable TV and DVD player.

The final bedroom offers two single beds, nightstand and cable TV. All the bedrooms have closets, lamps and clock radios.

Finally, sleeping accommodation at Près du Lac is completed by the sleep sofa in the family room which can be converted to a queen-size bed should you need the extra flexibility.

The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with everything that you could need, including dish washer, fridge - freezer with ice maker and microwave.

The separate laundry room has washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board.

The games room is equipped with a pool table, table tennis and an electronic dart board. There are also a number of board games in the house.

Further details outdoors:
The pool (14x 28 ft) and spa can be accessed from the family room or the master bedroom. The pool area is provided with a removable safety fence for added protection for young infants should you need it, and both doors leading on to the deck area have been provided with additional safety locks and switchable alarms.The stylish pool furniture includes reclining chairs with stools, and a parasol, a table and other chairs for dining al fresco.

In addition to the private pool, there is community pool available to guests.

Conditions

Our holiday home is no smoking and we regret that we do not allow pets.

Pool and spa heat is recommended from October to April.

Additional items such as baby equipment can be made available by prior arrangement at additional cost.

Your house is beautiful and it accommodated us all very well. We were far enough away from each other so that when one was up early or late it did not disturb the others.
