Situated in private gardens adjacent to a spectacular beach, the property was a hotel (Hotel Mont Vernon) for many years before being sold off as private apartments. We have completely renovated the ones we own so everything is new and designer style
Ideal for a couple's romantic getaway, you can walk down and laze on the beach all day, or swim in the pool, or play tennis, or stroll down the beach to shops and restaurants (half a mile) or take up the economic hire car offer and explore the island. A sofa bed is available in one apartment for a child or third person. Otherwise a double inflatable bed is also available upon request.
The property is ideal for Star Wars fans as Nick made 50 movies including the Classic Trilogy. Read about him on his website- enquire for details.

The French Saint Martin region
St Martin is half Dutch (English speaking) and half French so there is a lot of cultural diversity, lots of beach and lots of sun. The island is small so you can't get lost. But there is a lot to see, horse back riding and a butterfly farm a mile away, restaurants, bars, casinos and nightclubs.

Orient Bay area
Orient Bay aka Orient Beach aka Baie Orientale is St Martin's finest. Its a truly majestic setting with the mountains rising up all around and the islands of Green Key, Tintamarre and Pinel just off shore. The bay sweeps around an East facing blue water cove that is 2 miles long. A white powdered sand beach is protected from the Atlantic waves by a coral reef, and the sea bottom has a very gradual slope. The area has been recognized as a marine reserve, and I'm told that the snorkeling in the marine park is very good.
The centre of the beach is very developed. It is the most popular and the busiest beach on the island. Lined with tiki huts, colourful beach chairs and restaurants. There is a lot of action with many watersports facilities including parasailing, waterskiing and boat hire. Kite surfers often use this beach and its rolling waves are good for body surfing too. Here you will also find shops and restaurants, some with live bands on busy nights. You can stroll in the surf and view sun-worshippers in all shapes and sizes passing by. Strains of Salsa, Bachata, or Merengue music waft over you from the bars that dot the beach.
The Bay is said to be made up of five beaches... Kontiki, Kakao, Bikini Beach, Waikiki and Coco Beach. But these names are used to define parts of one glorious sandy strip by referring to the nearest beach bar. In fact, Orient Bay boasts numerous restaurants, bars, shops and hotels along the beach.
At the farthest (Southern) end of the beach is Club Orient, the islandīs only naturist resort. Clothing is optional in front of the Orient Club. In fact. nudity is considered permissible throughout the beach but not common at our end (a mile from Club Orient) except for early morning walkers around 8.00 am.
We are at the QUIET NORTHERN END OF THE BEACH. We have a fabulous pool beside the sea and Boo Boo Jam beach bar is about 200 meters away. There is a pizzeria, launderette and grocery on site and Grand Case, heralded as "the gastronomic capital of the Caribbean" is about a mile away by road.

How to get there
We have an arrangement with Usave Car Hire for customers to get a car for under £100 a week. They pick up at the airport or the apartment,
Taxi's know the location as Hotel Mont Vernon so we can meet you at the former reception building
When considering airfares you might look at KLM and Air France and budget fares from Europe and use a no frills carrier like Ryan Air to hook up with that. Otherwise Heathrow flies to Antigua and Liat and other small airlines hop from there.
