An important part of the life style is the street market, found in every town and many villages. As well as a wonderful selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, charcuterie and fish, you’ll also find lavender and olive products, beautiful Provençal fabrics and much more.
The Romans appreciated this land of sunshine and their legacy can be seen today, not only in the many wonderful buildings and sites throughout the land but also in the many vineyards in the area, for the it was the Romans who first introduced the vine and wine making to Provence. There are ample opportunities for visiting vineyards for tasting and purchasing wines nearby, most notably the famed Chateauneuf du Pape and Cotes du Rhone.
If you like to walk, cycle or ride a horse, you can do so in surrounding areas of great natural beauty and there are golf courses nearby. Wild life abounds in the Camargue. See the legendary white horses, cowboys, bulls, flamingos. Fun for adults and children alike.

Guestbook for Chez Bardi
“This holiday was one of the most relaxing we can recall, We found ourselves looking forward to mid-afternoon return, so I could sunbathe/cool off in the pool while Ted took possession of a sun lounger, placed in the shade, for his afternoon read/relaxation. M. and Mme Bardi were a pleasure to deal with as was their son Julian. “
“We had a great time in Plan D'Orgon and although we smiled at Monsieur Bardi's automatic gardening watering system when it sprung in to life at 9pm every night, it did mean his garden was a green oasis! The pool was lovely and well maintained by Monsieur Bardi and his son. The house was just as described and photographed on the web site.”
“The property was ideally located to explore the area and well appointed. The owners were helpful but unobtrusive and we had a great time.”
