Apartment St Francoise is situated within a farmhouse (Mas) built at the end of the 18th Century. Originally set in open countryside, the house is now part of the village of ORGON. The Mas has been refurbished to the highest standards, and offers other self-catering apartments please contact us for further details Local craftsmen and materials have been used in refurbishing the apartments, which has ensured that the Provençal style has been retained whilst providing modern facilities. This apartment is approximately 50 sq.mtrs in total, and is situated on the ground floor. It contains 2 bedrooms, one with double bed and one with 2 single beds. The bathroom contains shower, wash-hand basin and toilet. There is a lounge/kitchen area containing fridge, 4 ring gas hob and microwave oven. The lounge has a large stone fireplace. There is a terrace with table and chairs and umbrella and sun loungers

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Bouches-du-Rhone region
Orgon is situated 25 km south of Avignon, on the edge of the Alpilles, a chain of mountains running East to West through Provence. From Orgon the view is through the Durance Valley and the plains of Cavaillon, famous for its fruits, in particular the melons. The area surrounding Orgon is rich and varied, providing the visitor to the Mas with many interesting opportunities. For the nature lover there is the Camargue including an ornithological park, and The Luberon National Park is on the doorstep.
Orgon area
Within a short drive can be found St Remy-de-Provence, famous for its Roman architecture and Les Beaux with its ruined castle and unique rock formations. Further afield but within easy reach is Pont du Gard, Avignon with the Palace of the Popes, Marseille with its famous waterfront, the Amphitheatre at Nimes and the cultured avenues of Aix-en-Provence. Cavaillon is just 5 km awayfor local shopping and dining out.
How to get there
By Car: When travelling on the Autoroute A7, take the exit signed Cavaillon and follow the signs St Remy de Provence/ Plan d'Orgon, and then follow the signs south to Orgon. Once into the village of Orgon, take a left turn onto Route de Bazarde, immediately after the crossing lights. The house is the second on your right. By Air: The nearest airports are Marseille and Nimes, approx. 50 minutes away by car. Other airports within 2 hours distance are Nice, Montpellier and Lyon. By Train: The nearest train station is at Avignon, which is approximately 25 minutes away. There is a TGV link available direct from London Waterloo to Avignon, and this takes approximately 6 hours.

Further details outdoors: The Mas has a large, beautiful garden of 1200 sq.mtrs. Within the garden a superb swimming pool measuring 11m x 5m which is maintained daily (open from the end of April to the end of September, subject to temperature and weather conditions). The garden contains many trees and plants which offer shade during the hot summer. There is secure parking for 4 vehicles, one vehicle for each apartment, a bouledrome and a BBQ for the use by clients. There is a Cave with local wines, and a washing machine is provided for use by clients for a small charge.
