Casita de la Luna is a new luxury detached villa situated in the countryside outside the hilltop village of Finestrat and set in the 'campo' which forms part of the terrain belonging to a large country house. The casita has stunning mountain views. It is tastefully decorated throughout and comprises of a split level 'L' shaped lounge/dining area with a single bed and a well equipped kitchen, 2 double bedrooms.
From the lounge the villa has breathtaking views of the Puig Campana Mountain (1,410 metres in height), it also has an outside patio area with a dining table and chairs. For those people who enjoy walking, hiking and cycling, the villa is situated in the perfect location. There is no need to drive to experience some of the best walking and climbing routes to suit all ages and abilities. It is also ideal for golfers as there are two new 18 hole golf courses at the Real de Faula Resort. These Executive and Championship courses were designed by Jack Nicklaus and are only 10 minutes drive away.
Casita de la Luna is set in the countryside yet only 4 kms from the hilltop village of Finestrat and 12 kms from the blue flag awarded beach and bay of Cala Finstrat. At Cala Finestrat there are 5 large supermarkets, shops,bars, restaurants, petrol stations and a large shopping mall with all designer shops. The village of Finestrat has all the amenities such as bars, restaurants, banks, chemist, post office and doctors.
Casita de la Luna is the ideal place for those who want peace and tranquillity yet all amenities nearby. It is surrounded by hills and mountains, a perfect place to relax sitting on the patio in the evening soaking up the atmosphere and looking up at the stars. This villa has 24 hour total peace and silence apart from the sounds of nature, eagles and falcons can often be seen soaring above these valleys.

The large en-suite bedroom has fitted wardrobes, chest of drawers and bedside cabinet. The 2nd bedroom has a wardrobe, large chest of drawers and two bedside cabinets. A fully equipped tiled bathroom has a separate walk in shower.

The villa also has a solar domestic water heater system fitted thereby providing all the hot water naturally by the sun.
It has a well stocked library provided.
The pool is solar heated so therefore the temperature is dependent on the sun.

The villa is ideally situated for walkers, fishermen and golfers.
English speaking owner lives on site to answer any questions.
Rental periods are from Saturday to Saturday but are negoitable.
A non refundable deposit of 25% of the rental price is required at time of booking with the final balance due six weeks before your stay.
If booking is within 6 weeks of start of holiday, payment in full required.
Refundable breakages deposit of £100 required on arrival, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).
Please note that check out time is 10.00am and arrival time 3.00pm. Luggage can be left with owners if flights do not coincide with arrival/departure times.

The Costa Blanca/Valencia region
The Costa Blanca was recently declared to have the healthiest climate in the world, with an average of 326 days of sunshine per year. The numerous clear, sunny days make the province of Alicante an excellent place for leisure and holidays, because it is possible to enjoy the fresh air every day of the year. The area is covered by small hills and rather high mountains, keeping the weather in a kind of micro climate. This limits the rain days per year to just about 20 per year. The average daytime temperature even in winter time does not normally fall below 16° C.
---------Finestrat and Cala Finestrat----------
The beach at Cala Finestrat is a horseshoe bay with clean fine sand which was awarded the Blue Flag in 1988 for cleanliness. It has many bars and restaurants which serve typical Spanish food.
The village of Finestrat dates back to 13th Century and has quaint narrow streets with multi-coloured houses.
Finestrat is a beautiful coastal town but at the same time a mountain village dating back to the 13th Century. It is characterised by its 'hanging cliff' edge houses and narrow streets of Moorish origin.The historical district is located on the foundations of an ancient Arab castle where the lookout point known as "El Castell" has breathtaking views over the coast and mountains.
The local 3 day village fiesta of Sant Bertomeu is celebrated from 24th August with activities each day, culminating in a huge musical firework display. The fiesta of Sant Joan on 24th June is celebrated in the evening on the beach at Cala Finestrat with music, dancing, fires and bar-b-q's.
Only a short drive away is the holiday resort of Benidorm which is very popular due to it's many bars, restaurants and fun attractions for children and adults, such as Terra Mitica, Terra Natura, Mundomar and Aqualandia. In the 'Old Town' part of Benidorm you will find many Tapas bars specialising in local wines and produce. The Old Town of Benidorm will surprise anyone with pre-conceived notions of Benidorm. You will find a real Spanish resort in the centre of a European resort.
For those people who enjoy walking, hiking, climbing and cycling there are several marked routes in the area, for example the Puig Campana mountain, the Realet valley, Sierra Cortina and many more.
For golfers there is the Real de Faula Golf Resort only 8 kms away and less than 10 minutes drive from the villa. It has two courses designed by Jack Nicklaus which are 6,612 metres long.
There are three 5* hotels newly opened 8 kms away. These are The Sheraton, The Weston and the recently opened Asia Garden Hotel. All these hotels are open to non residents and have bars and restaurants. Once again, forget your pre-conceived notions of Benidorm.
A large reservoir at Villajoyosia (60 million cubic metres) is just 7 minutes drive away and there you can fish for Carp, Trout and Black Bass for just 5 euros per day.
