The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

This area of Costa Blanca streches from Valencia to Alicante. Denia is between the two. The area includes the villages of: Alfas del Pi, Benidorm, Calpe, Dénia, Elche, Jávea, Orihuela, Pilar de la Horadada, Santa Pola, Villajoyosa and the little towns. In Elche you find the largest "palmeral" in Europe. There are interesting fortified medieval castles in: Xativa, Novelda, Petrel, Sax, Villena, Biar and Castalla.
Inland you find the towns and "alquerías moriscas" in the valleys of the interior of Alicante: Vall d'Ebo, Vall d'Alcalá, Vall de Gallinera, Vall de Laguart. In Gata de Gorgos you can buy typical ceramics, wicker handicrafts. In Guadalest you can admire the houses built in the rocks, and take a boat ride on the lake(summer time only). The city of Valencia has the new "Ciudad de las Ciencias" that includes the Aquarium and Opera House. There are open markets seven days a week called "mercadillos" where you can find from everything from clothes to fruit. Several Golf clubs in: Elche, Ifach, Benissa, Javea, Orihuela, Oliva, La Sella and Benidorm. Five munutes drive to new shopping mall La Marina Alta, other shopping malls nearby Valencia include: Nuevo Centro, Aldaia, El Saler, Xirivella, Alfafar, Plaza Mayor Gandia and in Alicante: Finestrat, Gran Via Alicante, Parque Cial. Vista Hermosa, San Juan, Habaneras Torrevieja, Plaza Mar2. On the way to Villajoyosa is the large Casino with shows and good food. Altea is famous for its art galleries. Calpe has its known fishing boats and its rock that rivals Gibraltar and enjoy here delicious fresh seafood reataurants.
Visit Benidorm for beautiful beaches and diverse night life. Alicante with its well known Palm Tree line Paseo Maritimo and enjoy a meal in one of the many restaurants overlooking the sea in the beautiful harbor. The Costa Blanca is one of the few places in the world recommended by the World Health Organization as having an ideal climate for healthy living.

Orba / Sanet y Negrals area

In nearby Benidoleig there is an interesting cave. On the way to Benidorm the AP7 motorway you pass the towns of Javea, Calpe and Altea. All these towns have very interesting historic centres. In the "Casco Antiguo" there are shops, intertational restaurants and past centuries architecture worth exploring. You find sandy beaches, marinas, fishing ports. Walkers/hikers can enjoy: the new trail along the Sierra de Bernia, the walk around the Montgo in Denia plus the surroundings of Fontilles in Vall de L'Aguart, where there are many walking trails (full range from easy to difficult walks). Visit Jalón Valley for wine tasting and outside market on Saturdays. Flamenco dance, weekends in Casa España -Oliva. Good night life in Denia. Average temperatures: April, May, June, Oct. Nov. Dec. 15º to 25º C. -July, Aug. Sept. 22º to 35ªC & Jan.Feb.March 10º to 19ª C.

How to get there

Budjet airlines include Easyjet and Ryan Air to Alicante "El Altet" where you can rent a car at Solymar and www.carjet.com rentals. Take the motorway AP7 (Mediterranean Motorway)direction Valencia, exit 62 Ondara, in Ondara ask for Sanet y Negrals. Any problems call me.
