Quinta das Aranhas, geographically well positioned , enables you to experience great touristic spots very close by.

60 km away is Oporto , Portugal's 2nd largest city and world heritage site by UNESCO. Aside from a trendy seaside neighborhood and its waterfront, the historical center is recognized worldwide and its popularity is growing immensely among tourists.

Espinho, a city south of Oporto, is 50 km away and boasts excellent beaches for the surf lovers, as well as a casino, a golf course and a waterpark are among other attractions in the city.

The birth place of Port wine is 80 km away. The region - demarcated region of the Douro - is a beautiful place to visit and its scenery breathtaking.

Just 10 km is Entre-os-rios, where the Douro, Paiva, and Tâmega rivers meet. This is a great place for the practice of nautical sports.

30 km away is the city of Amarante,a lovely old city, where you can also take your kids to the local waterpark.

The village of Castelo de Paiva (5min by car) is part of the so-called Romanesque Route in the Sousa Valley, and is recognized for its rich historical heritage, churches, memorials, bridges, towers , monastic ensembles and prehistoric villages. In the village you have supermarkets, restaurants, shoppings, medical center, etc..

"Idyllic Rural Escape"

I spent a few days here in late June and was amazed at the idyllic surroundings and incredible peacefulness of the location.Maria, the owner explained upon arrival that the property is an old Manor gr… More

First of all thank you for the kind review.
I would also like to say that the Studio is already equipped since July with air conditioning so that the temperature is adequate during summer and winter periods.
Regarding the Guest House it has 2 bedrooms with 2 double beds and 2 additional single beds in the living room. Therefore it accommodates 5/6 people.
The wireless internet is something we are trying to improve with our provider, so that we get a better reception.
Regarding the pool, it is now being more frequently cleaned (twice a day) so that it is in the best condition possible for our guests.
In short we are trying to better every aspect to suit the needs of our guests!
