In the heart of the Sperrins, down a tree-lined private laneway lies the picturesque 200 year old stone built barn. Brimming with character but with all modern conveniences the property is restored to cater for your every need.

“Getting away from it all” acquires new meaning with 100 acres of private walks and paths to traverse, spectacular views at every turn. It is a place apart from the usual pace of life.

Relax in the evening in front of an open fire after a day spent walking or cycling in the Sperrins. (Wood for the fire is produced on the farm.) The local network of quiet country roads are ideal for walking/cycling whilst for driving this central Ulster location is within easy distance of the North, East and West coasts. The local mountain biking trails in Gortin and Davagh cycling track are both within a 10-15 min drive.

Pollán Rua Barn enters into a spacious porch, ideal for relaxing and enjoying views of the surrounding countryside. The kitchen/living room features an open fire, unique handcrafted Irish elm dining table and French door leading to patio. The bathroom is on the ground floor, with both loft style bedrooms located on the first floor. The main bedroom is traditionally furnished with antique pine dressing table and wardrobe and a double bedstead. The second bedroom has a single bed with pull-out bed for extra accommodation.

Stables are located adjacent to Pollán Rua Barn and a section has been specially adapted to provide quality separate accommodation for pets. A covered area is provided for bicycles and is perfect for an evening barbecue.

Locally facilities in Greencastle include a supermarket/pub/filling station and post office while the a little further the village of Gortin comprises restaurants, pubs, shops, post office and bank. The local market towns of Omagh and Cookstown are both within a half hours drive.
